Yesterday, New York Senator Hillary Clinton was speaking at a fund-raiser in San Francisco on behalf of Senator Barbara Boxer. At that fund-raiser, she told those in attendance to expect to lose some of the tax cuts passed by President Bush if Democrats win the White House and control of Congress. That's right...she's telling everyone in advance she and the rest of her leftist pals are going to raise their taxes. Hillary really showed herself at this fund raiser --- if, that is, they manage to get the White House and control of the congress. Not only did Shrillary reveal her love of high taxes, but she did so in the arrogant, condescending manner that forms the foundation of her personality. Hillary told us that she is ".. going to take things away from (us) on behalf of the common good."
There are several basic elements of the liberal faith exposed in Hillary's threat. (And yes, it was a threat.) The two most important elements were that all wealth belongs to the government and all that the lives of individuals must be controlled by government. The government demonstrates its ownership of all wealth by determining how it is to be "distributed," and it's ownership of individuals by controlling aspects of our private lives.
The Imperial Federal government, under the control of such worthy people as Hillary, decides what portion of the wealth that we have earned it will "give" us. You've heard liberals refer to tax breaks as "giveaways" to the rich. You and I know that a tax break doesn't "give" anything to the rich. It merely allows the high producers to keep more of what the worked for an earned. But to Hillary and her leftist friends, all that you earn actually belongs to government ... so, to them, it is a giveaway.
Not only do liberals not recognize your right to or ownership of the wealth that you produce, liberals don't even want to recognize your sovereignty as an individual. Just think for a moment of the choices that the government doesn't allow you to make. In virtually every state in the nation you cannot make your own choice as to who will clip your nails. In Texas and Florida the government tells you just who can help you match the color of a sofa fabric to your drapes. In Georgia and virtually every other state you can't decide who you want to clip your nails. In Arizona it's a crime to have someone trim your cuticles. In South Carolina a female can't get a massage from a male. It's so wonderful to live in a free country, isn't it?
And now we have Hillary proudly and arrogantly announcing that the government is going to seize property from individuals for "the common good." Don't ignore the message here. You are not a free individual. You exist to serve the state. Hillary is here to show you the way.
Preach on Pastor Neal!!!!!
I'm quite partial to "The PIT-VIPER" as her nickname.....
Good article on "Common Good"

From article.....
First, according to some philosophers, the very idea of a common good is inconsistent with a pluralistic society like ours. Different people have different ideas about what is worthwhile or what constitutes "the good life for human beings", differences that have increased during the last few decades as the voices of more and more previously silenced groups, such as women and minorities, have been heard. Given these differences, some people urge, it will be impossible for us to agree on what particular kind of social systems, institutions, and environments we will all pitch in to support.
And even if we agreed upon what we all valued, we would certainly disagree about the relative values things have for us. While all may agree, for example, that an affordable health system, a healthy educational system, and a clean environment are all parts of the common good, some will say that more should be invested in health than in education, while others will favor directing resources to the environment over both health and education. Such disagreements are bound to undercut our ability to evoke a sustained and widespread commitment to the common good. In the face of such pluralism, efforts to bring about the common good can only lead to adopting or promoting the views of some, while excluding others, violating the principle of treating people equally. Moreover, such efforts would force everyone to support some specific notion of the common good, violating the freedom of those who do not share in that goal, and inevitably leading to paternalism (imposing one group's preference on others), tyranny, and oppression.
Any idea what they are refering to with the nail clipping comment & the part about matching the sofa to the drapes?
(I had no idea my interior designer sister-in-law was such a powerful person, I'll have to be nicer to her.) ;9/
".. going to take things away from (us) on behalf of the common good."
This covers more than money, this includes guns, rights, etc. She has just let slip what is her/their true intentions.
I pulled this from a thread yesterday, and sent it to 10 people, who don't belong to FR. I suggest everyone do the same. The word must be spread on the truth about what the Dems in general, and H. Clinton specifically, have in store for America. Get the word out and let people decide with their consciences.

Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
Feb 25th, 1920:
In Point 17 of the 25 point plan of the National Socialist German Workers Party, written by Adolf Hitler on February 25th, 1920, is found:
We demand a land reform in accordance with our national requirements, and the enactment of a law to confiscate from the owners without compensation any land needed for the common purpose.
thank you for your post and link
You're welcome.
When I hear of events such as this, where the totalitarians of the left reveal their agenda and its goals in clear, unequivocal, and impossible to misunderstand terms, I just have to shake my head when I realize that HALF of the people in this country continue to align themselves with the dumbass Democrats!
The acceptance of Hildabeast's rant by her adoring crowd is a life lesson on how killers, like Karl Marx, who put down his monstrous plan in the Communist Manifesto, or Adolf Hitler, who outlined his agenda in Mein Kampf, were able to get away with mass murder through the complicity and assistance of their wild-eyed devotees. There was no validity to the canard that the people were unaware of the true nature of these creatures. The fact is, these demagogues and their followers are one. We are witnessing evil incarnate before our very eyes!
Truly, the stupidity of man knows no bounds!
This is no secret. They've been telling us this for years.
All require state certifications.
Yea, what was that all about?
After billions of words have been written about this socialist pig , you would have thought anyone, and everyone would have gotten it by now. ;)
Nice quote find. Just mailed that out to my digital brownshirt network. ; )
OK I'm for that. Someone who clips my nails needs to be checked by the health department. That stupid statement by the author weakens his point.
No, I believe this is the democratic message: We will determine what is the common good for you (socialism) and will use the court system to implement it.
Boortz doesn't even believe that doctors should be licensed.
He has a real bug up his butt about professional licensing because most exist to limit entry into a profession to protect the pricing power of those already there instead of public health and safety purposes.
Wish I could take credit. Another FReeper found the quote. I just went out and verified it for my own edification and passed it along.
Good for you! We should all be sure of our sources before using material we find. Thanks for posting it.
