The following letter was sent to Lou Calabro, San Francisco representative for the European American Issues Forum, as a satirical commentary on the film, ''White Chicks.''
I've got a great idea for a movie.
Two hip, heroic, athletic, attractive, intelligent, European-American, male law-enforcement officers (brothers in real life) go undercover posing as two black females. Wearing black face, speaking Ebonics, fooling simple minded black folk, spoofing black culture and its sincerely held beliefs, demeaning black men and women, outwitting stupid black villains, strengthening negative stereotypes wrongly attributed to many black Americans--all in order to uncover fraud, corruption, and graft, at a (you choose the venue) black university, sorority, church, civil rights organization, big government agency like the postal service, or a rap recording label. It would all be in the name of comedy, of course, and to enrich the ultra-aware, liberal Hollywood actors, writers, producers, and directors of this exploitation film.
What, you say it couldn't be done? It wouldn't be tolerated? It's racially, culturally hurtful and downright sexist too? The days of ''Amos and Andy'' are over with, thank goodness? The New Age, diverse, multicultural, highly sensitive to all races, ethnicities, genders, religions, and sexual preferences population of the United States wouldn't stand for or pay for such ''entertainment'' at the expense of African-Americans?
Okay, I've got another idea. What if we make a movie called ''White Chicks''?

Unfortunately it's already been done. They were called minstrel shows.
White Chicks is an effective spin on that bizarre, now extinct American art form.
With an appreciation of American racial history, I find White Chicks to be a rather innocent .

C'mon guys. We've already had "Soul Man" (same idea, but reversed). Cut them some slack.

Black H... ...............no. No, I'm just not going to do it.
It did make fun of a few people but in general went to pretty great lengths to show most Blacks in a positive light.
It never, and I mean never made insidious attacks on all Blacks. In fact the whole Black community was portrayed in a far more positive light than reality.
European-American Chicks.

Either movie would be illegal to show to deathrow imates, cruel and unusual punishment.
