A new type of ultrasound scan has produced the vivid pictures of a 12 week-old foetus "walking" in the womb.
The new images also show foetuses apparently yawning and rubbing its eyes.
The scans, pioneered by Professor Stuart Campbell at London's Create Health Clinic, are much more detailed than conventional ultrasound.
Professor Campbell has previously released images of unborn babies appearing to smile.
Baby 'walking' in the womb
The images have shown:
* From 12 weeks, unborn babies can stretch, kick and leap around the womb - well before the mother can feel movement
* From 18 weeks, they can open their eyes although most doctors thought eyelids were fused until 26 weeks
* From 26 weeks, they appear to exhibit a whole range of typical baby behaviour and moods, including scratching, smiling, crying, hiccoughing, and sucking.
Until recently it was thought that smiling did not start until six weeks after birth.

Sorry - it is just a blob of tissue - even 1 hour before birth - the Supreme Court said so...
Medical researchers are such dolts.
I have a picture of my youngest smiling at 1 day old on my desk.
Its odd how the liberals will go out of there way to protect an "endangered" form of pond scum, but fight tooth and nail for abortions. Never did understand that.
Even at the MOMENT of birth, until the first breath. Amazing.
Beautiful.

The Abortionists: May God Save Their Souls. God may forgive, but it's a little more difficult for the average guy who knows that Human Life begins with conception. To claim it doesn't is sheer folly.
Remembere the McCaughey sexputlets?..they're now about 5 yars old..all born preemie at 28 or so weeks...all surived becuase of great medical care and lots of prayers..all were what NARAL would call nonviable lumps...
THAT was cute!!!!
My oldest smiled at me not 5 minutes after birth.
The picture that is missing is of the child aborted by partial birth abortion. That would be relevant at the moment.
I believe they will actually be 7 in Nov--only remember it because she had them when I was preg w/ my 1st who was 6 in April. Time flies!

Yeah now that you mention it, that does defy logic. DemoRats portray themselves as being for "the little guy", well they don't get much smaller than the fetus. Being a DemoRat sure looks like mental disease to me.
Well, it's odd because it's emotional. It's all about what they want, who they feel sorry for, who they're mad at, and so on. Once you get past the idea that they give much thought to their positions, they actually begin to make more sense.
Note, BTW, that we conservatives are often guilty of the exact opposite -- we can think up all sorts of rational reasons to defend things that are obviously wrong.

Mine too. And she did it again just 23 years later. :-}

Amazing. Nothing like the love of a brother or sister.
Bump.
