The President continued his visit in Ireland on Saturday with an EU summit. Saturday night, the First Couple flew to Ankara, Turkey, where they were received by the heads of state and Church.
Sunday, June 27th, the President reviewed the Turkey troops, laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Turkey's founder Kemal Ataturk in Ankara. He attended a formal photo shoot of the NATO Summit attendees, and then a welcoming dinner at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, Turkey. The NATO meetings will be held on Monday and Tuesday.
In a surprise sequence of events, L. Paul Bremer signed over full sovereignty to Iraq's interim government two days ahead of schedule in surprise ceremony; Saddam to be indicted this week.
One more post.
You are most welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed all of the pics. It was difficult to leave even a single one out - so I included them all.
I think the ones of the First Couple in formal attire are smashing, and history was made today - when that note was passed to the President while he was in the Morning session of the NATO summit and the turnover of Iraq to the Iraqis.
These are photos in time that we will never forget - like the Kennedy assassination, 9/11, the Pentagon, and the caisson for the Pres. Reagan funeral, or the casket lying in state in the Capitol. They are screen captures in the continuum of life that are frozen in time, seared in our brains forever.
God bless President Bush and God bless America.
Amen and thank you for the all the work and pictures!
Oh, I figured that.......
I just stuck this thread in my favorites list...Truly great.
The Airheads movie with Brandon Fraser and Adam Sandler is only so-so, but it has a few good smiles in it for wackiness, and was only $5.50.

Thank you so much for your birthday wishes. This is a birthday I will not forget. Celebrating the birth of a new Iraqi nation makes it incredibly special. Having FreeRepublic to share the joys of a day like June 28, 2004, just multiplies the happiness. As President Bush has written, "Let Freedom Reign."
You might like to see the letter I just sent through the Bush website to some of my local papers today. It is easy to use their website, but I am not sure how the messages are received by the papers. I mean, do they look like they come form an individual, or come from a campaign? Either way, I consider it a little heads up to these editors that I support President Bush.
Congratulations to the people of Iraq on achieving their independence and the opportunity to create a democracy in their land.
Very Best Wishes to those Iraqis who have accepted positions in the Interim Government. They are brave patriots, willing to place their lives in danger to support this chance for their country.
The barbarians who want to stop this progress are targeting people in Iraq who are eager to be productive. Just like the murderers of September 11, 2001, the murderers in Iraq are killing people who are working; as teachers, doctors, civic employees, translators, drivers, municipal leaders, etc.
The Administration of George W Bush deserves high praise for supporting the efforts of those Iraqis who have the tremendous courage to face this evil. We must help them achieve their freedom and maybe someday their country will be safe enough to have a large open celebration on the anniversary of their Independance Day.
Lots of politicians like to talk about leading, yet very few of them are capable of ignoring popular opinion polls. George W. Bush will win in a landslide this November because America likes a leader, and every aspect of this Presidents first term can be summed up with a single verb.... LEADERSHIP, he lives and breathes it
++++
Media professionals who refuse to acknowledge this are lying to themselves. What a way to go through life! They cannot be happy with all these successes because the leader is not a democrat. So they would rather be angry and miserable.
No, they are NEVER in the house! LOL
When they get older, they don't seem to poop that much while you're holding them. I can sit in the back yard with one on my lap, petting it and it won't poop on me for a long time. Now eventually it would, but I don't press my luck, you know! ;-D
The boys used to bring them in as a joke...that's why they look so tickled. I took the pictures, then they took them back outside.
But generally, it's been my experience that while you're messing with them or holding them, they don't poop. Baby chicks will...but it's not very much.
Love your tagline
My church is going to have a Patriotic Holy Hour after Mass on July 4th. There will be a recitation of the rosary
with each bead representing a state. I will pray for the electoral vote as well as for the troops as each state is counted.
Well I just saw him get on AF1 with Laura and they said he was coming home . . . but guess they could take a little detour!
Good morning Fawnn! Hope all is well with you.
I'm leaving the house in about a half hour to go visit the grandbabies, so today is a really good day! ;)
Hope all is well with you, too!
That cheek kissing stuff is probably "sissy stuff" to a Texas Cowboy!
Howdy, Mud.
How you been?
Wasn't yesterday a spectacular day, from start to finish?
Oh, it's so nice to have grown-ups in the White House, and a leader with vision.
God bless Pres. Bush, his Cabinet, his NSC, and all who serve him in the Military.
Truthy
Yep...Dubyuh's most certainly got "the Vision thing" when it comes to liberating the World, now the key to a momentous victory in November is fer Dubyuh to demonstrate "the Vision thing" when it comes to domestic spending policy. We must liberate America...NOW!!
Devolve Power from the Federal Leviathan and back to the States, Localities, Neighborhoods, families, and Individuals!!
