Imagine my surprise when I clicked on the Drudge article "FU long overdue" which
links to a Washington Post article. Right in the middle of the article pops up an ad crowing out:
Time for a change. Make One.
Donate to John Kerry Give $50 now
So now articles themselves - as biased as they are
- aren't even enough. Planted INSIDE the attack on Preidsent Bush is an ad where you can
DONATE MONEY to the opposition candidate! It is OUTRAGEOUS!
Vice President Cheney on Friday vigorously defended his vulgarity directed at
a prominent Democratic senator earlier this week in the Senate chamber.
Cheney said he "probably" used an obscenity in an argument Tuesday on the Senate floor with
Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt.) and added that he had no regrets.
Please go to Drudge's page and check it out. Sorry, I cannot link the Macro Media ad...
I am disgusted...why, I don't know after all this time watching the rats sink deeper and deeper...
BTTT Pings please
Loathesome media alert
BTTT
I am positive that these web-site businesses (Drudge, Washington Post, whatever) would gladly take the RNC's money for campaign pop-up ads. Personally, I think it's time for the GOP to get on that bandwagon. Unless, like me, they believe that pestering people with shameless and annoying pop-up ads is actually counterproductive and turns people off.
Ah, now I see that the "ad" has changed to one for home loans... I really dislike these people and their overt bias.
But didn't McCain solve all this with campaign finance reform?!?
This really isn't a pop up, it is an ad that fits in the article. Now is is showing another article, but to place a KEry ad inside a Bush/Cheney hit-piece is not journalism. (No need to point this out, probably) But to your point that the RNC MUST acknowledge what today's realities are and act accordingly - you are right.
LOL Yeah, he sure "solved" something didn't he... /s Now I wonder if the Micheal Moore hit piece will need to stop playing 3 months before the election because even the DNC says it's a political piece. I won't hold my breath...
It is all the media's delusional world view.
Their worldview is that Democrat is "normal". Never mind that the majority of the US population is conservative.
If you watch the leftists media, you will see thay are in spin overdrive. Any view that is not leftist is portrayed as insane or lying.
Even commercials for years have followed the notion, dad=stupid, mom=smart.
In the end McCain has only made campaign financing wide open.
The only good news is that moore will not be able to advertise his infomercial after July 30.
He should also not be able to sell it or have spece provided by retailers before the election. IOW wallmart's floor space is a campaign contribution that must be reported.
Barf!
There is just no end to the political doings.
"The only good news is that moore will not be able to advertise his infomercial after July 30.

Never happen. Any attempt by government to treat this film as a campaign ad will be met with howls of "government censorship." Those howls will be accurate. The problem is that the good guys are following the law that restricts free political speech. This law should have never been passed. Some will obey it, but if they don't, no one has the guts to enforce it on teh opposition.
Even if this 2 hr. attack ad falls under campaign finance "reform" law, the lefties will have "private" showings in their in-home movie theaters. Plus all the media attention from having their "movie" "shut down." Our side MUST start up a daily national newspaper. MUST.
The RAT plan is clear. While RAT cadidates and their editorial and "news" writing allies start calling for more civility in politics (they are singing in a chorus right now), their hit squads like Michael Moore and MoveOn.org are doing the dirty work, allowing the candidates to act above it all. It's just a variation of the "changing the tone in Washington" campaign that Bush used only with less honesty. It's not all that creative, but it is terribly disingenuous.
They do that with most concepts and words. The rats do or mean the precise opposite of what they say. Liberals have ads attacking President Bush as Hitler. When Bush indignantly exposes the Hitler image on his website, they howl and say he is wrong for using an image of Hitler - there by trying to cut off even his protestation of it's use.. It is evil - no other word can be substituted...
I'm not sure what your question is here. Political candidates can buy ads on certain pages just like anyone else. If the Bush campaign had asked and paid, they'd have the ad on that page.
Maybe this is the sound-bite answer. "Anyone can see that Moore is just a character assassin for the democrats, doing the dirty work by spreading lies and innuendo while the dem politicians stay above the fray."
