Washington, DC, Jun. 25 (UPI) -- The latest Badger Poll showed President George W. Bush ahead of Sen. John F. Kerry in the critical swing state of Wisconsin.

Bush led Kerry, 46 percent to 42 percent, in the poll, which sampled opinions from 504 adults. Liberal independent Ralph Nader took 5 percent in the survey, which was conducted by the University of Wisconsin's Survey Center between June 15 and June 23.

Great...as long as the Democrat Party Operatives in the state don't continue the
SMOKES FOR VOTES

program they did in 2000.

Anyone else remember the tv news crew catching the homeless being carted around, being given packs of Marlboros for going in and voting for AlGore?

Hmmmmm, Since Governor Doyle vetoed the Voter ID bill, and the Republicans rolled over and played dead, I don't really expect the results of any poll to mean anything with respect to the outcome in November. Get used to saying, "President Kerry"

Liberal independent Ralph Nader [iow, Jew-hating, Christian-hating, ambulance-chasing profiteer] got 94,070 Wisconsin votes in 2000. *
George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent

Nader urges Kerry to stop opposition
by Steve Miller
The Washington Times
Ralph Nader's presidential campaign is urging Democratic contender John Kerry to condemn a new political group, the National Progress Fund, which is running ads telling Nader supporters that voting for the consumer advocate would help President Bush.

"We would like to see a clear message from Mr. Kerry that he opposes this effort against Ralph Nader," said Nader campaign spokesman Kevin Zeese. "If we don't get it, we will feel that he deserves credit for it."

The fund is being headed by former aides from the failed presidential campaigns and offices of Wesley Clark and former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, as well as a former aide from the office of Rep. Richard A. Gephardt of Missouri, another Democratic presidential contender from 2004.

On the fund's Web site, www.TheNaderFactor.com, the group says Mr. Nader's candidacy in 2000 actually hurt his liberal agenda by helping elect Mr. Bush.

And it crystallizes the Democratic fear in two sentences: "Poll after poll after poll show one thing: Ralph Nader is once again becoming a deciding factor. It is time for us to stand together in defense of the issues we care about most."

Heh heh... from the "naderfactor" website:
I would like to retract my endorsement of this web site and the effort by the so-called progressives to dumb-down that which is already too dumb. Nader loves and struggles for the people, democracy, and all the values that will insure the best future for us. You cannot deny this, nor can you deny that Kerry is nearly as bad as Bush; furthermore, it may not matter in light of Florida and election 2k. And, Kerry looks like he will blow it, perhaps intentionally, just like Gore did; besides, Kerry is a sitting insider.

Please take my name off your reactionary repression. With all due respect to the otherwise courageous Medea Benjamin, she at long last disappointed me. Then again, her plea may oratorical to demonstrate the key points: our democracy is in grave danger, our (U.S.) morality as a people has never been lower.
