Hell hath no fury like an intern scorned.Monica Lewinsky broke her silence and bared her claws yesterday, branding ex-lover Bill Clinton a creep who "destroyed" her and made her feel like "an insignificant piece of dirt."
As the former President stumped for his best-selling memoir, Lewinsky fumed that he belittled their romance and never apologized for smearing her reputation during the Sexgate scandal.
"He says he was proud of the way that he defended the presidency - at my expense. In the process, he destroyed me," she said.
"I was a young girl and to hear him saying some of the things he was saying today - it's a shame."
Lewinsky said her life would have turned out much differently if she'd never met Clinton.
She imagined that she would be a forensic psychologist, a wife and a mother.
"I have spent the last several years trying so hard to move on. I've lost a lot of time."
Lewinsky, 30, refused to comment to the U.S. media when Clinton's autobiography, "My Life," was published to enormous fanfare this week.
Instead, she gave a paid interview to London's Daily Mail and Britain's ITV News, which aired the half-hour segment last night.
In her most candid remarks since the scandal that rocked the country, Lewinsky portrayed Clinton as a money-grubbing cad incapable of telling the truth.
"It's offensive," she said of his chapters about their fling. "He could easily have chosen to take a few less million dollars and just not write about it."
At various points in the two interviews she referred to him as "the creep," a "liar," a "revisionist of history" and "a wax figure - without humanity."
She seemed unable to reconcile the Bill Clinton of today with the "tender" man who called her "dear" and "baby" and gave her gifts like Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass."
"This is someone I used to be in love with?" she asked incredulously.
While she kept her mouth shut when Sen. Hillary Clinton published her memoir last year, Lewinsky said she's speaking out now to correct the account in "My Life."
She's also angry about the "60 Minutes" interview in which Clinton said he cheated on his wife with Lewinsky "for the worst possible reason - just because I could."
"I was really upset when I first heard it," she said.
"He talked about it as though I had laid it all out there for the taking. I was the buffet, and he just couldn't resist the dessert," she fumed.
"That's not how it was," she said. "This was a mutual relationship, mutual on all levels, right from the way it started and all the way through."
What's more, she claims she can prove it with tapes of messages Clinton left on her telephone answering machine and gifts he gave her, all of which she kept.
"If I was just something he used 'because he could,' why call me?" she said. "Why fake all the emotions and the looks and the tenderness?"
"He touched me first," she added.
Adding to the insult is Clinton's refusal to apologize for the way he and his protectors maligned her at the height of the scandal.
"His strategy was to debase my character," she said.
Clinton doesn't seem to appreciate the fact that she refused to wear a wire and get him on tape, even though she was threatened with prison, she said.
"How would he feel if [Chelsea] was picked up in a shopping mall as I was by the FBI, taken to a hotel room, told she couldn't call an attorney and threatened with jail for 27 years?
"How would he feel if she was trashed by the person she had the relationship with?"
Now that she and Clinton are back on the front pages, she has just one question for him: "Can't you just step up to the plate and correct the things you did that were wrong?"
Clinton's spokeswoman did not return calls.
Pain - in her own words
On Clinton's comments about their affair: "He's acting as though it was nothing more than a bug bite that got infected."
On how he treated her: "He says he was proud of the way that he defended the presidency - at my expense. In the process, he destroyed me."
On his chapter about the affair: "He could easily have chosen to take a few less million dollars and just not write about it."
On her life: "When I look at photographs of me before all this happened, I can see a happiness there that has gone. He could have made it easier on me, but at least I have the advantage of truth."

OMG, just realized I'm talking about a former president of the US.
I had wondered what kept her alive. Son of a gun.
YOU were in love with him. He NEVER was in love with you. Simple and straight. All Bubba wanted from you was to get serviced and then it was time move on. See Monica, you don't quite get it and never will.
If I were Monica, I'd make those tapes public. Let the Bent One try to file for defamation of character.
MONICA,
you have tapes,publish them.
get even.
If it hadn't so damaged our country and if the son of a b*tch had been convicted and removed from office for lying under oath as he should have been, I'd be sympathetic. As it is, cry my a river, Monica baby.
Newsflash, Monica. You are insignificant..
Gee, Monica got mad at Linda Tripp for taping their conversation. But it's okay for Monica to do it when Clinton's on the phone. Why isn't the press jumping on her hypocrisy? (They would if they thought she was a real threat to Clinton even now.) They're terrified that if Clinton's actual legacy gets hung around RATS' necks, they won't see the inside of the oval office for fifty years.
Monica, fweetie, anything else that people would want to read from Bubba either (a) puts a stake through what little is left of his legacy, (b) exposes him to criminal and civil liability, or (c) both. Once again, you are the lesser of evils.
She still thinks that they had an affair, when the reality was that, for Slick, she wasn't even good enough for a spunk repository, hence the sink.
Come out of the ether, Monica! Publish the tapes!
She better do it TODAY, or she is likely to either have a break-in and have them stolen or be dead soon---or both!
The Klintons don't take too kindly to being "EXPOSED." Just ask some of their "GOOD FRIENDS"---Vince Foster, Ron Brown, Jim McDougal, etc., etc., etc. Oh, I forgot.
Do you know what she could get for the tapes..probably $5mill, easy..
The only person this human feces is in love with is HIMSELF!
Monica, as much as any person living, can make the public aware of the truth of Clinton's character.
But we now know she has TAPES! And they are damaging, or she would have turned them over to Starr! Excellent!
Clinton wouldn't know the truth if it bit him on his rumpus.
Because he could. Maybe the light is dawning in her that Clinton is as phony as a three-dollar bill and none of his "emotions" are genuine. Maybe the rest of the media will see the light too.
She's coming to the realization that she was in love with a rutting baboon.
even though i don't approve of the sex thing in the whitehouse,i won't trash her.nothing worse then a self-righteous poster.
that being said, she was manipulated by the king of re-writing history.and he manipulated the country,as the media and dems want to do with shoving kerry down our throats[no punn intended]
a little bad press would be giving them some of there own medicine.
Do you think we ought to take up a collection?
