The NBC Nightly News' Truth Squad did a review of Michael Moron's Fahrenheit 911.
Here are a few words they used to describe this "documentary"...
Misleading Deceitful
This is not a joke.
NBC was not kind to Moore's movie as they analyzed it to see whether it was factual or not.
I wish the clip or transcript were available. It did my heart good to see a major media outlet lay it on the line for once.
Did anyone else out there see this tonight?
The MSNBC website review seems to be favorable:

Did I die and go to heaven????
PIGS FLEW
Hey, as I posted on other threads, anytime Dim-rats spew this garbage, Al-Jazeera puts it on their headline news for propaganda. Why the Repubs don`t expose that is beyond me. Yesterday they had Algore as the top news story, you know with the whole "Even the infidels own Vice president says they are evil bla bla etc etc" It might still be up on their website if you go there.
The poor media.... They can't please anyone. The DU types accuse them of being right wing lap dogs and we accuse them of being leftist. Sometimes I wonder... if both sides hate them equally... maybe they are more 'right' than we usually give them credit for! ;~D
Is it me or is there a pattern here,MM may end up damaging the DNC.....
its hard to damage something thats broken in the first place.
I saw it. Both NBC News and ABC News did a sort of "truth squad" thing on the movie tonight. Both pointed out the factual errors and exaggerations and concluded the movie was biased (which is obvious). I believe ABC News ended their report by quoting somebody with the line that went something like "going to this movie looking for a balanced view is like looking for healthy food at the Drive-Thru".
That's right, it does. Moore, by making a statement like that, sounds like a partisan extremist with a pure hatred of President Bush. NBC probably ran that report as a caution to the DNC.
the AJC decided to point out right out front that it wasnt.... but it still posted that pic of the rent-a-cop pulling him away while he got a photo shoot, and claimed the rent-a-copwas Secret Service.... almost there....
HAAAAAAAAAAAA!
shouldn't al gore be recommending F911 for an oscar right
about now?
WorldTribune.com has posted since trhe 11th of this month that the UN confirms that even THEY know WMD existed in Iraq in a few weeks AFTER we went in.
I hate to say this, but i think the media covered Reagan's Funeral so much simply because they didnt want to risk leaking the truth about the WMD out.
I put a winky on the end of my post! I find it funny is all, that both sides give them equal and opposite blame. I watch the news and see liberal bias. They see the media as either sold to, or afraid of, Bush.
I just find it ironic that at DU there are threads about how right wing the media is. I kid you not, there have been recent threads there about how ~NPR~ is in Bush's pocket. And all the networks. It's an alternate universe they see, that is for sure!
I doubt the movie will win any converts here in the U.S. People's minds are pretty much made up. Moore is preaching to the choir. Those who already agree with him will go see it, others will stay away.
I'm more concerned about foreign audiences. When this movie plays in the Middle East, it will reinforce every stereotype they have about us. It will increase the hatred of the U.S. They don't have access to alternative viewpoints, and this movie will just reinforce the Al Jazeera viewpoint. Moore and his ilk will argue the movie is just anti-Bush, not anti-American, but that distinction is lost overseas.
MSNBC usually replays the major news segments from the NBC Nightly News. I see Keith Olberman isn't there, but maybe they'll play Lisa Meyers' report.
I know what you mean.
I've watched were 2 were discussing some speech. It was like they heard 2 different things.
People filter in and filter out a lot more than they realize.
A few years ago, a study proved that little boys many times 'couldn't hear their mother calling' [typical excuse]. In actuality, the study proved they 'couldn't hear' because they filtered it out.
