I just sent Cheney a nice email, as follows:

Mr. Vice President (and the handler reading this email
in his stead):

What you said to Senator "Leaky" Leahy earlier this
week was the best thing I've heard a Republican say to
a Democrat in years. For too long, Republicans have
responded to the vicious libel and slander of
Democrats with a smile and a wave. While there are
certainly many times for letting anger and rage speak
for themselves, there are too many times that
Democrats have stepped over the line.

With that said, I'd like to offer a few more
suggestions for other conversations with others in
Congress:

To Senator Ted Kennedy: "Hey, Ted, did you ever find
that Oldsmobile?"

To Representative Nancy Pelosi: "I think you might
need your face tightened again."

To Senator Orrin Hatch: "You work for the Republicans,
not the recording industry, pal."

To Republican Senators from north-eastern states who
vote with the Democrats more often than not: "You work
for the Republicans, not the Democrats. Start voting
with us, or we'll make the rest of your term and
re-election campaign a living hell."

To Senator John McCain: "You're a Republican from
Arizona, not from the media. Turn the ego dial down
and the loyalty dial up."

There are also a few people not in Congress who could
use your words of wisdom, Mr. Vice President.

To Adam Clymer: "I agree with President Bush. You're
(still) an asshole."

To the media in general: "To date, I've only seen two
quagmires. They weren't Afghanistan and Iraq, they
were the nation's op-ed pages and the nation's nightly
news broadcasts. You people are shallow idiots."
Actually, Don Rumsfeld might be better-suited for that
particular message. With all due respect, he's more
deserving of the opportunity.

And, finally, I would like to make a suggestion, which
I hope you will forward to the appropriate people: at
this year's Republican National Convention, the
keynote speaker should be Ann Coulter.

Keep up the good work of calling Democrats exactly
what they are, Mr. Vice President.

P.S. I'll try to make sure that John Kerry doesn't try
to manufacture a voting scandal in my county like Al
Gore did the last time around. I'll do that by voting
for you and President Bush.
