No indication of how dead man ended up in police car
The Associated Press - WARNER ROBINS, Ga.
Autopsy results on the decomposing body of a man found in an unmarked police car didn't reveal how he died.
The Thursday autopsy found no physical marks on 30-year-old Joseph Wendell Lowe's body indicating any physical trauma, said Warner Robins Police Chief Brett Evans. A toxicology report is pending.
"We still don't know why the man was in the car or how he died," Evans said.
Lowe was discovered Wednesday in a fenced-in parking lot across the street from the city's police department. He was in a Chevrolet Caprice police used to entice criminals to steal it and be captured in the act.
Investigators are trying to determine if the car's internal locking system was somehow triggered, locking Lowe inside, Evens said.
Lowe, an unemployed construction worker, was last seen alive late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, Evans said.
Sounds like the trap-a-theif car was sitting idle too long.
Homeless guy, looking for a place to sleep. Or...a drunk looking for a place to sleep it off. The cause of death would be an interesting bit of data here.
A Caprice. I hate that. However, there are two possibilities. Either he died in the car or he was dead when he got into the car. And the mechanics at the motor pool do not like it when the officer drops off the car with bodies in it.
Searching for Zombie Donuts?
2) He was in a Chevrolet Caprice police used to entice criminals to steal it and be captured in the act. ...and boy, is somebody (probably a lawyer) going to be rich in a few months.
Bart: "Dad! You killed the Zombie Flanders!"
"Brains! More Brains!"
The car of the living dead.
Found a half eaten doughnut under the seat and died of botulism? ...or it could have been Bush's fault.
This is an easy one. Drunk, looking for a place to sleep it off, finds an unlocked car and crawls inside. Car designed to trap thieves, traps drunk instead. He is cooked to death the next day as car bakes in summer sun.
Case closed.
Building a better mouse trap i see. Works for me. They check in but do not check out!!
How hard would it be to break a window? I honestly don't know, as I've never broken one, but it doesn't seem like it would be that hard. Also, you could live for a few days if you were healthy, with the exception of overheating or dehydration.
I think they are gonna have to resolve those liability issues.
An entrapment car? They'll wish they never thought of that.
Did he know Bill Clinton?
If it was in Los Angeles and he was black, likely he died from being hit in the head with a flashlight.
Yes, Fatality by Flashlight is much more common than, say, Fatality by Brother Puttin' a Cap in Yo' Butt.
And the smell issues, too. Yeah, that car is out of commission for a little while indeed.
