In a letter to colleagues, Judge Guido Calabresi wrote that he understood his remarks could too easily be taken as partisan....Watch, as this cowardly scumbag backtracks, tail between his legs.
To: Keith in Iowa
in total agreement.
"i said it because i could"
"no i'm sorry because i was caught"

The only honorable option for him is to resign.
What he said *WAS* partisan.

"...while Bush is not another Hitler, "like Mussolini, he has ..."Still don't get this. Bush doesn't get the Hitler nominee but still liked him to Mussolini!?

If Bush really was a dictator, this Judge and the rest of Bush's detractors would be 6 feet under.

He should resign. What he did is a taboo among judges. I believe he will be admonished by his fellow jurists.

You have to remember that most liberals are profoundly ignorant of history. They have no knowledge of Hitler or Mussolini outside of "they were bad people". Well, to them, Bush is a bad person, therefore Bush = Hitler.
Orwell foresaw that calling someone a Hitler or a NAZI would descent to nothing more, fundamentally, then a crude insult decades ago. Oh how right he was...

"The jurist also said the public should expel Bush from office to cleanse the democratic system."
Um, no, Guido. The public should remove YOU from office to cleanse the Democratic Party.

Like what? Was he on a train that was on time?

Yeah, then you should know more than the average person how right the decision was. Grrrrr.
...to cleanse the democratic system.
Cleanse? CLEANSE? Does the doddering old &^%$# review his notes before a speech? I am offended by this.
A former dean at Yale, he was appointed to the federal appeals bench in 1994 by President Bill Clinton.
Like you needed to tell me this....Grrrr

"Speaking to the American Constitution Society last weekend in Washington, Calabresi took issue with Bush vs. Gore, the Supreme Court decision that decided the 2000 election."Let me get this right.....
AL QAEDA GORE decided he wanted to be president more than the people of the all the United States...
The Supreme Court decided that the people of the state of Florida voted for George Bush that is AFTER the state of Florida determined that they voted for George Bush!
So does Guido take issue with the rest of the United States and the state of Florida as well for voting for George Bush?

This makes his so called apology laughable.

The 71-year-old jurist also said the public should expel Bush from office to cleanse the democratic system. Calabresi's family fled Mussolini in 1939. A former dean at Yale, he was appointed to the federal appeals bench in 1994 by President Bill Clinton. Those fleeing Mussolini's Italy in 1939 were either Jews or communists, and Calebresi doesn't sound very Jewish to me.

Calabresi is a good example of the liberal nutcases who occupy our judiciary.
