I thnk it is high time to have our public officials re-swear they will uphold the constitution and reaffirm their agreement with the Declaration if Independence -- which indicates that they agree with our quest for freedom AND the fact that man is endowed by our Creator (God) with certain unalienable rights.
And, let them either agree or disagree with the above phrase, which agreement should qualify them to hold public office. Half the democRAT party would have to resign because I'm certain they couldn't/wouldn't attest to their belief in God. And, we should have a quick response team to sue any public official who violates the constitution by their actions or statements. I am so pissss*sed......

Dear Senator Hollings:
I read with interest and disgust your diatribe against our involvement in Iraq. You stated there were no WMD, Al Qaeda or terrorism in Iraq. Funny how Clinton thought so, as did Kerry, as did the UN, as did you, sir, in earlier positions in the Senate.
You feel the need to openly lie and misrepresent facts simply to make the President vulnerable in a time of war. I have little doubt that with each American death, your smile broadens. Hopefully, your prayers for an American defeat will go unanswered. You sir, are, to put it mildly, reprehensible.
Your statements can only be taken as completely politically motivated or a sign of dementia. I would hope you would be censured, but with similar garbage from Kennedy and a couple of other of your brethren, it would take up all of the Senate's time.
Your time, Senator has come and gone. Thank you for stepping down. It's the one thing you have done that I agree with.
