Yep, Howard Keel was quite the looker. My favorite role he played was Adam in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." I saw it on TV when I was a young teenager and fantasized for years about marrying a big, dark-haired mountain man when I grew up. :)

You are so correct!! When I wrote "Carmel" I had a tinge that it was wrong. We stayed there with our little dog, and they brought a bed and treats, BUT the dog couldn't stay in the room when we weren't there.

Do they still have the bottles ofSherry in the rooms?

You just seem to be lashing out. I wasn't sure DD was a conservative but if in this atmosphere she can support Bush, that's pretty good. Give her a break.

Don't be like abortion people. 1 issue shouldn't be the driver for all. Besides, maybe you're assuming too much, and you know what that means.....

DD is anti-hunting because she is an animal freak. Not necessarily against firearms.

After talking with my Daughter I probably should take back my statement that Florence Henderson had a reputation for being "randy".

When she was young, just out of high school She was talented, poor, and extremely pretty. It is probably more likely that a lot of people in the entertainment industry took advantage of her.

She also has made some conservative statements. I recall her defending Spiro Agnew after he resigned the Vice-Presidence. Probably the only person in the media to do so.

"she had (dang! I can not remember her name...she had red hair and played Bewitched's mother) her friend who worked in the cafeteria? It was like one of those old ones with the people behind the vending machines...for lack of a better way of describing it..I think they called them an automat?"

Agnes Moorehead.

And correct about Automat.

I will not be able to back it up because I can't remember the details but I know I have heard Doris Day make a lot of leftist PC comments.

Of course this is pretty much standard fare for Hollywood and I guess they were pretty much main stream PC, but still a lefty.

I was a bit shocked myself. I have no idea if she deserves it. Not aware of just what it is she did. Maybe just be an inspiring, sparky, cheery entertainer? ;-)

I saw something with Jim Nabors about a year ago where it was said that he was not gay, just friends with Hudson.

About 20 years ago I dated a lady whose sister was married to a very famous athlete/Hollywood type/face on Wheaties, etc.. She said that it was well known that Nabors was a $3 bill.

Um - it's been showing tons this last week.

My boyfriend thinks it's his favorite movie. I've never really bothered to watch the whole thing!

That's funny! When I took my dog to the Cherry Hill Holiday Inn, my dog stayed in our room all day while I was at work!

LOL - the first man I ever fantasized about marrying was Roy Rogers! (Don't think I would've been much competition for Dale ;-)

When I think of Doris singing (and she was well before my time actually), I think of:

You won't admit you love me

And so,

how am I ever

to know,

You always tell me

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.....
