Jim Robinson is listed the owner. 4 additional mods, including John Robinson, are also listed.

There's a "2?" That's all I need - double addiction!

What is the issue you saw?
To: Rebelbase
Looks like there are some Freepers who are not able to post to FreeRepublic. They are using freerepublic2 to try and get help!

I don't think Jim has anything to do with that site, and furthermore, I'm baffled as to why anyone would start up a second site. There may be some cease and desist requests forthcoming.
To: Michael Smith
FreeRepublic2 on Yahoo acts as a backup site in case this one crashes or is down for maintenance.
To: Michael Smith
The site referred to is the backup site for when our beloved FR goes in the tank.
To: Rebelbase
I'm not sure, but Al Gore is convinced that he's the site's admin!

Thanks. Just another reminder that my three year absence from FR left me in an information vacuum.
To: Michael Smith
I move to fast. I was going to say that this site is useful when FR is down.
To: Michael Smith
Three years? What happened did you become a democrat? Just kidding;^)
To: I got the rope
Thank you. I apologize for my ignorance. A good lesson in getting all the information and facts before rendering an opinion.
To: Redcloak
"Al Gore is convinced that he's the site's admin!"Well, I suppose that would be good in the sense that then there would be no controlling legal authority (heh heh) to get in his way.
To: Michael Smith
Welcome back and may I say that you have quite the sign up date. 5 days after the big man himself.
To: Michael Smith
then there would be no controlling legal authority (heh heh) to get in his way. That and the fact that he took the initiative in creating the Internet.

The yahoo site is used as a back up for when FR crashes.
