That's right. Keep the McGovern comparisons coming, baby.
I guess one Jonathan Giovianni of Sayreville, NJ forgot the billows of smoke across the Hudson on 9-11-01. Hey Jon, it's the real world babe; it's not a cruise in Rumson or Malibu.
PS. Hope the tax cuts are helping you and your family spend more money thus stimulating the economy. It's called trickle-down.
BAAAAWAAAAAAA.....yeah, right.....we really should get rid of big bad "big business".....yeah, that's the ticket....I wouldn't miss Hollyweird....but without big business THIS WORLD DOES NOT RUN....you idgit! Sheesh.
Check out THIS "attractive" image of Babs, from news.bbc.co.uk:
Streisand sings at Kerry concert
Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand are to sing together for the first time in 24 years at a concert for Democrat John Kerry's US presidential campaign.
Barbra Streisand is a prominent Democrat supporterStreisand is due to top the bill at the fund-raising concert in Los Angeles on Thursday night.
She will duet with Diamond to sing their 1978 hit You Don't Bring Me Flowers before a 2,000-strong sell-out audience, including Kerry.
Other stars at the event include comic actor Billy Crystal and Robert De Niro.
The gala concert is the first of two featuring an array of stage and screen stars aimed at raising $10m (£5.5m) for Mr Kerry's campaign...
Just to set the record straight, I am NOT singing for John Kerry. It might be good if I did, though, because my singing would cause people to flee the venue faster than a fire alarm.
Cordially,
Sorry for the confusion. The NEXT time, I will post a more precise thread title. :o)
I wonder who the FReepers named BARBRA STREISAND and Neil_Diamond really are, though...
Anyone see Babs in the NYPost today with the Army gear on? To Babs the Army just exists for fashion.
Neil (the Fifth or Sixth Monkey) Diamond will be singing a duet with Babs. And money will be changing hands for the show?
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
Another Groban fan! Isn't he magnificent? And so young, such a long career ahead of him. His voice is haunting and heart-breaking- and that song!
It sounds almost Scottish with the pipes in the background, and the choir. I'm hooked on it too, and listen to it over and over.
Striesand and diamond???? Is that the best kerry can conjur up? Wow...things are going south in the democratic/liberal world. striesand and diamond?????? who needs this more kerry or striesand and diamond????? Gosh, this is hillarious. No kidding. Desperate is as desperate does. Can't WAIT to hear this duet. :)
such star power????????????????
HARDLY!!! There are only a handful of STARS anymore and striesand, diamond, goldberg, bon jovi, and willie nelsson are certainly not in that handful. Ben? Maybe he's just doing it for fun or maybe he too needs attention big time. Too bad. Always liked him and felt he could have been a star the caliber of Stewart, Wayne, Gable, Heston, Chandler, Hudson, Douglas and so on. But, he too chose the path of popularity. The rest are just money grabbers looking for attention and thinking about no one but themselves. Losers all.

It was a #1 Billboard hit (though like most of Diamond's post 1974 inventory, dripping with too much schmaltz), and how Babs and Neil came to cut it together is told by Fred Bronson in The Billboard Book of Number One Hits.
Back to the topic... being that BS and ND are Jewish, I must link this thread to this thread.

I got in early with Napster and downloaded, but still don't listen to Barbara fonda, and will now not listen to Niel.

DARN wouldn't you know it, I have to clean the grout in the bathroom. Well maybe I can catch them at Kerry's inauguration.
