Am I the only one who just saw an ad showing Kerry defending communism as a young man testifying before congress, followed up by Reagan's "tear down this wall" and then W at Ground Zero talking about the terrorists "hearing from all of us"? This is the first time I've seen this ad - "John Kerry, Wrong Then, Wrong Now". Fantastic!! Anyone know anything more about this ad? Maybe the first shot in our 527 campaign???
It was fantastic!
The ad has been on on-the-air here in Kansas City for at least 3 days that I can recall. But then, as a swing state voter I think we're seeing alot more in the way of ads than the rest of you folks. As to it's effectiveness, I think it's OK, nothing powerful, but a fresh tack all the same and a welcome change from the dullness of most of the ads I've seen so far.
They have been playing that ad A LOT in the philly area
It's pretty good
Sweet.
Thanks, GED. I really appreciate your reply.
Right on. A powerful voice for Reaganomics, the super-successful policies that scare the left and, sadly, most of the right.
Nope. Had a rather racous hoot 'n holler session myself. Great ad.
Any time.
I still love that commercial. One of the best of the cycle, if not the best so far.
For those who haven't lived around Boston, it should be said that JFK and the other Kennedys do NOT speak with an uppperclass Boston accent, commonly known as a Boston Brahman accent. They speak with a Boston Irish Catholic accent filtered through Harvard and money.
I don't doubt that Kerry grew up with a Boston Brahman accent but changed it for political purposes when he was in full imitate-JFK mode. After all, he let Mass. voters think he was Irish for many, many years, because it's been politically advantageous ever since the days of Mayor Curley.
Can't wait to see it. Sounds like a Direct Hit, port-side.
I had seen it before - on Fox.
It's probably only playing in battleground states. It hasn't shown up here in CA yet, but I expect it will. It was sent to me several days ago because I'm on a lot of GOP type lists so I always get to see the ads ahead of time.
This ad is dynamite. Kerry has been all over the TV the last few days badmouthing the GOP for not allowing him to vote on a Veterans bill .. and now this ad starts playing showing him siding with the Communists. This will resonate in Peoria .. and in all the battleground states.

Hi Cyber.. The add has shown up in Los Angeles. I saw it on O'Reily last night (Tuesday 6/22)..
Wunnerfull...simply wunnerful... thanks to the folks who took off the gloves. keep um coming..
It has been airing on FNC and in key battleground markets. Apparently, it's only a 5 day ad buy.
If true, that's nuts, because this is probably the best ad of the cycle so far. Downloaded it, watched it, kept watching it. It defines Kerry as a weak, submissive, communist-patronizing fool with an awful accent while it ties Bush's leadership to that of Reagan. Great work to whomever came up with the idea.
Saw it - it's fantastic - "Kerry, wrong then, wrong now" - says it all.....
Yes it is - it's the first one - that shows Reagan on the graphic.
Especially like the way it introduces, maybe to a lot of people who are not yet aware of it, Kerry's anti-war activitism by showing him in his scrungey fatigues testifying before the Senate Committee. Also saw in the one-minute House speeches on C-Span yesterday a congressman from Penna (sadly I forget his name) calling Kerry out for the same activism and talking about the recent honors given him by North Vietnam - the man ended by saying that he was a Vietnam vet and thought it was time Kerry repudiated his outrageous charges against our troops during the war and apologized to them - outstanding, and IMO disastrous for Kerry if enough vets catch on....
I watch FNC a lot, and I haven't seen it yet. However, San Diego is already Bush Country, and they may have elected to not show it here. And .. I agree it's a great ad.
