KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, June 22 (Reuters) - Afghan soldiers beheaded four Taliban fighters after guerrillas cut off the heads of an Afghan interpreter for U.S.-led forces and an Afghan soldier, a government commander said on Tuesday. The interpreter and the soldier were beheaded after becoming separated from a patrol of Afghan and U.S.-led foreign troops in the Arghandab district of Zabul province on Monday night, Namatullah Tokhi, commander of the government's 27th division in the province, told Reuters.
He said government troops later captured and killed four Taliban guerrillas in the same way. "They cut of their heads with a knife, so when our forces arrested four Taliban, we cut off their heads too."

Be there or be headed...
Certaine Moi
What does that mean? I've never heard any French person say "Certaine Moi". Do you mean "certainement" which simply means certainly?
Also the French ain't my ally.
"Fascinating part of the world. Makes you want to raise a family there."
Going to open a bagel store there.
Bagel and a schmeer with coffee 1.75.
Heads or Taliban's?
They're not my "Allies"either! It was a feeble attempt at"Humor".I think it means"I am certain".
Love it.
We should uphold the Geneva Convention but only as it is written - It pertains only to soldiers, uniformed, representing a government, openly armed. These religion of peaceniks are not covered by GC. It's only the dogooders that shout about that.
Swift Justice...MUD
Knock off the personal attacks, Mike baby.
Reread your posts to me, Cronos, and then tell me to knock off the personal attacks Mr. Thinskin.
Actually they were not vermin, they were human beings. Albeit human beings with some very disturbing ways of looking at the world, but nevertheless human beings... You are off your moral rocker.
They beheaded Afghan scouts but I'm the one off my moral rocker? You say they have "disturbing" ways of looking at the world, but because I call vermin "vermin", I'm off my moral rocker???
People who lack a moral compass, who cannot discern evil, or lack the ability to distinquish evil acts from pointing out the evil act...I call them evil. If the shoe fits you, wear it.
And before you call anyone "Adolf" again, (another person with a disturbing way of looking at the world), read Jim Robinson's note about NO personal attacks...
Hey, I'm not thinskinned, it wasn't about me. I went back and reread the running feud posts and I see your point. Have fun flaming each other.
Hopefully they airdropped the heads back to the cadavers' Talibuddies.
Perhaps I need to be more clear Garybob to what I was talking about.
What you are doing is taking a situation in which humans beings committed an evil act and then using that evil act to justify your desire to dehumanize them. By dehumanizing them ("they are vermin") it then becomes not only morally defensible, but rather necessary to "exterminate" them as one would do with vermin.
You see, my Adolf comment was not a personal attack as much as a reference to exactly what Hitler did to the Jews. In fact, comparing them with vermin (there is a famous propaganda film that you should see if you never have) was exactly what was done to justify exterminating them.
Thus, I agree that these people who committed that act are evil. But, they are still people. And, no matter how evil the deed they may have done by not according them the minimal dignity of being human, we dehumanize ourselves.
What you basically said was, since they beheaded someone, it was fine for us or our allies to behead them. This is morally indefnisble and correlative to Nazi propaganda.
Have a deep think about it, then recheck your moral compass.
The choice is clear: You exterminate the ones who would exterminate you. How much more evidence do you need that they dont want your humanity, they want your death? Stop wringing your hands over their humanity. They lost their humanity the moment they started the jihad.

Nice try I dont believe that for a second.

These are words of a moral coward. You may go and lick the hands of those who would exterminate you, the ones you love, and our way of life if you wish to, but dont expect the rest of us to take kindly to those who would do us harm.

Whats indefensible is your attempted analogy between the Nazis extermination of innocent people and the punishment meted out to those who took innocent life. There is not a dimes worth of difference between the Nazis and the Taliban. Your attempt to project an aura of humanity upon a people who have lost their humanity is sick and disgusting.
Have a deep think about it, then recheck your moral compass.
If it makes you sleep better at night to humanize these monsters, then you dont have a clue what would constitute a moral compass. Get the beam out of your own eye first.
Put some iron in your backbone, get some courage, re-read the story of Joshua. Until you do, thank God that there are better men out there that are keeping you safe from harm.
