With recovery of the body, it shouldn't be too hard to deterimine the time of death, or at least something close to the date. My only question is, if they offed him a week or ten days ago, will we ever hear about it? That might require some action that the President is unwilling to take before the election.

I don't know that sticking our heads in the sand is the answer. In fact, I think that few things are as morally clear as a decapitated head. The basic human reaction to seeing it is 'that is wrong'. If all of America was used to seeing such things, especially in contrast to the guy with panties on his head, I think we'd have a much more balanced view of what this war is really about.
