To: Laissez-faire capitalist

From the website they show pictures of literature on stands during the event. I saw between the Commie manifesto and Che books that there was a magazine on Stalin. Does that mean they think Stalin was 'misunderstood' and believe he was a real nice guy that was a victim of right wing bias in the media?

I've told this story before: When I was in College, I had a history professor who gave a lecture which covered two basic points:

1) Stalin was a pragmatic leader who simply did what he had to do. Yeah, he may have exterminated millions of his own citizens during peacetime -- but the man had no choice!
2) Truman was a war criminal who should have been tried and executed after WWII. The man dropped bombs on the enemy during wartime. This was barbaric and unforgiveable.

The man truly believed this. He is not alone.

I guess they would tell you that those millions killed under Lenin, Stalin and Mao died for the good of the people.
