RAMADI, Iraq (Reuters) - Four U.S. soldiers have been found dead west of Baghdad, apparently killed in an attack by Iraqi insurgents, witnesses said on Monday.

Because nobody is interested in photos of, say, a properly functioning oil pipeline. Good news is often boring news.
The simple fact is that blood and death sell.
I just called Reuters/America editoral content. The first time, I talked to a reporter who deep-sixed me into some voice mail. The second time, I talked to a young woman who did take my name and number. I refused the e-mail request, as it is just so easy to delete and forget.
I want an answer.
Only a short time ago, there was that hoopla about the flag-draped coffins photo and, once again, news made news. The line then was that the traitor who took those photos wanted us all to see the care that was taken with our KIA. What a crock of BS that was...but now I see that it was just the opening salvo, today we have this photo.
Shame on them. Shame on all of the political profiteers who would do this to every family with a Marine over there.
My God, this is the most awful thing. Where is the responsbility? How could they do this?
Today,
I don't see heads on any of the bodies.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt confirmed Monday that four U.S. service members were killed in the Sunni Muslim stronghold of Ramadi.
Videotape delivered to Associated Press Television News showed the four, still in uniform, lying dead near what appeared to be a walled compound.
Kimmitt, the deputy chief of operations, told reporters at a briefing in Baghdad, the capital, that the servicemen were conducting operations in Ramadi, and a search was launched when they failed to check in at an appointed time.
He declined further comment until the families of the dead could be notified.
I don't get it. How are 4 Marines sent out alone to do an operation. How do they get into a situation where it appeared they couldn't defend themselves. From the way they are lying, it looks to me like they were executed. How the hell does that happen?!?

al-Reuters Corporate Motto:
"LULULULULULULULULULU!!!!!!"
Rest in Peace brave Marines!
He can get a $3000 machine gun but not a $5 pair of shoes?
They call him shoeless Joe Jihad and the machine gun was bought used.
Take out the cameramen...the jihadies will whither on the vine.
And we Americans have been through some ROUGH TIMES in the past.
R.I.P., Marines.
But, Onward!
I think someone ought to try to sue Reuters. It would make one heck of a legal rangling and perhaps make these photo-snap happy so-called journalists think twice before showing photos of dead Americans again without the permission of the parents/next of kin.
Wasn't family privacy the reason the photos of Vince Foster could not be shown? Seems that there is already a Supreme Court precedent for the families winning this in court. Also, if victorious, this would be the end of news agencies like Reuters -- good riddence.
The stats show that the insurgent terrorists have done their worst and peaked.
They killed 130 of us in April.
They killed 81 of in May.
So far this month they've killed 25 of us.
That's a pretty recognizable trend line.
I'm not dumbfounded. Just a few days ago, we hit a safe house and killed 22 people. Retribution should have been expected.
As highly trained as these guys are, I would suspect a ploy of some kind was used. Perhaps feigning to be friends of the soldiers and thereby putting them off guard.
HOWEVER, we need to see the brutality of this war .. we need to see the horror of what these people are capable of. We need to see Paul Johnson's photos all over in the print media, not almost hidden on Drudge.
We are not little children. We see worse things on our TV screens, and in the movies. We need to SEE what our enemy is doing .. we will never win the war at home if we refuse to show the public what these killers are doing.
And .. I don't care if anybody agrees with me.
"Who owns and/or sponsors Reuters?"
Reuters is an unabashedly left-wing news organization.
God Bless these soldiers and their familys..... Then lord Give me the strengh and give me a gun to go over to Iraq.
