Insurgents took witnesses to the scene of the attack, a building site in Ramadi, west of Baghdad. The bloodied bodies of the four soldiers were sprawled on the ground, surrounded by scattered equipment and belongings. It was unclear when they had died. They were not wearing the helmets or body armor routinely worn by U.S. troops on alert.
Are these combat deaths or murdered prisoners?

Ask CNN where was their footage of dead Americans on 9-11. They will say that they had too much respect for the dead and their families to show that. They loathe the military; there is no double standard.

The Islamonazis are reported as claiming they captured 4 and killed 4. If these men have no armor and have no helmets (on the dead bodies), the Islamonazis probably captured 8 prisoners and killed 4 of them. That is a war crime.
Don't expect to hear Michael Moore calling "his side" villains.
(April 14, 2004): The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?....I oppose the U.N. or anyone else risking the lives of their citizens to extract us from our debacle...the majority of Americans supported this war once it began and, sadly, that majority must now sacrifice their children until enough blood has been let that maybe -- just maybe -- God and the Iraqi people will forgive us in the end.

Dumbfounded? Why? Nothing surprises me from Rueters or the AP or any of the mainstream media. They are terrorists as well as the militants they protect and glorify to the joyous left.
NEWS RELEASE
HEADQUARTERS UNITED STATES CENTRAL COMMAND
\June 3, 2004
Release Number: 04-06-09
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
COALITION SOLDIERS QUESTION NEWS MEDIA FOLLOWING ROADSIDE BOMB
MOSUL, Iraq - Coalition soldiers questioned two news media cameramen and a reporter after a roadside bomb exploded near a Coalition convoy two kilometers north of Mosul June 3.
The media, who were at the scene prior to the attack, told soldiers at the scene they had received a tip to be at that location prior to the attack and they had witnessed the explosion.
There was minimal damage to a Coalition vehicle, a cracked windshield, and no serious injuries.
3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division soldiers requested the media accompany them to a base camp in Mosul to answer questions as witnesses to the incident. The news media representatives left the base camp in the mid afternoon.
They knew about the attack and they said nothing to anyone. They just set up the cameras. They have knowingly conspired to help terrorsts kill our troops and should be charged with attempted murder.

In 1944, after the in November 1943 Tarawa bloodbath where almost 1,000 Marines died in a 76 hour battle for an atoll smaller than New York's Central Park, there was a great dispute over whether or not to show the gruesome color film shot by combat cameramen of dead Marines floating in the lagoon of Betio, their bloated, rapidly decomposing corpses turning black in the hot equatorial sun and piled in ragged heaps on the beach. It was feared that the hideous sights would damage home front morale too much. The decision was made by President Roosevelt to release the film and trust that this would impress upon the public the gravity of the maelstrom that their sons were being flung into. The decision was correct. War bond sales skyrocketed after the release of the film, and war production soared as the American people realized that their support for the war effort would help to return their men with victory in hand that much sooner. While our forces in Iraq embody the same sort of heroism and devotion to duty as their predecessors, I wonder if the present day home front is made up of the same stern stuff as its antecedent. I certainly hope so and time will tell.

THE problem is that in WW2 our president did not refer to the enemy as a religion of Peace.
To: TomasUSMC
You got a point about that. But almost everyone in today's society has been infected with political correctness to some degree or other. PC is the intellectual scourge of our time now that classical Marxism is dead. PC is nothing more than economic Marxism translated into cultural terms.

I've got no problem with blocking out any and all stations that show such photos. In fact, I think I'll block them out now - MSNBC, Fox, CNN Headline News, and CNN. Though CNN Headline News is where I saw the photos, I'm sure the others will follow suit.

It makes me sick to see my brother Marines like this..even we retired Marines feel strong kinship with our younger Marines and we feel like we have lost a son.

The flak jackets and helmet were reported to have been taken but it looks to me as if their blouses were taken too ( jackets to non military types)..I see one helmet.. I don't see weapons..maybe I need a closer look. Someone may have a point that they were put there after the fact..

I agree the Marines are not going to take kindly to these photos. Another thing we don't take kindly to is being called soldiers. No insult to soldiers but Marines are Marines! Many of us don't call our subordinates Troops either we call em Marines...
