The difference between Schwarzenegger and Davis, Bustamante, and yes, even McClintock is that Arnold's money if coming directly from the people of the state he has inspired. Davis, Bustamante, and McClintock all got the majority of their money from special interests like Indian Gaming Tribes. Plus Davis had his whole "pay to play" scheme going, on top of all that.

Real estate interests, Wall Street bankers, energy interests, ag interests...

Yeah right. Arnold doesn't belong to special interests because he conveniently redefined those as tribes and unions. He instead belongs to the same "very special interests" that Davis did (particularly in energy). Read the whole post.

You are sorely misinformed. As Carry Okie posted, the money comes from Real estate interests, Wall Street bankers, energy interests, ag interests, etc, those who directly benefit from Arnold's actions. He is no different than Davis in that regard; there are just a different set of players at the table.

Your unwillingness to engage in honest discussion, instead defending anything that Schwarzenegger does is getting tiresome. Your comments yesterday trying to paint Arnold as anything other than the social liberal he admitted he is were laughable.

And yes... I live in California. My family has been here since WW I.

Your writing style seems familiar, yet you just signed up at FR in December 2003, long after the Recall election. Perhaps you used to post under another name?

It's also what he plans to do with the money. So far, Schwartzenegger has used money for commercials to help his ideas. I think he's going to need to do that from time to time. Arnold is my hero.

Your sources, please.
