Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Jun. 19 (UPI) -- Al-Qaida network, which beheaded a U.S. hostage, denied Saturday its main operative in Saudi Arabia, Abdel Aziz al-Muqrin, was killed by Saudi police.

But Saudi officials said four al-Qaida terrorists, including al-Muqrin, were killed by police officers during a raid in Riyadh Friday night, hours the militants cut the head of Paul Johnson Jr. from his body.

Are the wire service really this bad? Are they so far out as to understand that the enemy (to them who know what that is) is using propaganda. By not accepting the Saudi news release, are we having to subjected to choose objectively? I know what side I'm on!

Yahoo! News has posted a news story now with images as part of its java slide show. Pictures of this guy's body are in them. Standard graphic warning applies.

There was talk last night on the John Batchelor show that a drone with a Hellfire missle killed this slime ball. I don't know if that would go over well in the Saudi kingdom, but Bush and Cheney are pissed.

Johnson, 49, was beheaded after his kidnappers said Saudi officials failed to fulfill their demands to free jailed al-Qaida members and order Westerners to leave the nation.

As a return gesture of kindness the Saudi govt ought to behead all al-qaida prisoners and return the headless bodies to respective families. Or, at least, make the prisoners wear female panties on their heads.

Welcome! And I was thinking the same thing, that the nose on his 'alive' pic matched the one on the corpse. I'm willing to believe this guy was taken out.

Why does this remind me of Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail:

"I'm not dead."

"Don't be such a baby. You'll be stone dead in a moment."

agreed. It would also help them, when hostage takers knew that demanding prisoner releases would result in the death of the prisoner.

The Saudis lie, from Abdullah down. He blamed recent terrorist attacks on 'zionists'. Saudi Officials Reinforce Crown Prince Abdallah's Accusation that Zionists Are Behind Terror Attacks in Saudi Arabia
