Just got through watching NBC'S Dateline with the segment on Ron Reagan. He was being interviewed by Chris Matthews. Ron will be on again on Monday with Matthews on Hardball. Anyone see the show and if so what are your thoughts?

I saw Ron on one of the channels (MSNBC?) a couple of months ago. He was artless, ungrateful and not even a good performer. A total loss. His ONLY claim to fame was his brilliant father. I'll bet that galls him.

I heard that Ron was essentially a no-show son until the illness was diagnosed. He should stick to dog shows.

He was a no-show son even then. I remember reading an interview with him a few years ago, when he said he no longer bothered going to see his father, as his father couldn't recognize who he was. And he had had a falling-out with his mother for at least five years during that time, so he didn't go see her either.

I heard a snippet of Mike's show last night and he said he would going into the Hospital next week for a Hip replacement. So Mike was not available for a rebuttal on this, but then again he does have a nationally syndicated radio show for his forum.

Much ado about nothing. I was watching US Open highlights on the Golf Channel. Didn't even know Dateline was on. Unfortunately now I'm watching Dan Rather drool about Clinton on Larry King (Christ..Larry just said Ron Reagan would be his guest on Wednesday). These people are so predictable its' comical. Don't lose sleep over this one folks.

This is proof that Ron Reagan is a jerk and that is one reason he could not pray during any of the services. Micheal Reagan is the only child that President Reagan would be proud of.....

Micheal Reagan is on his radio show saying his liberal brother has a strong hatred for President Bush and it is sad he is interviewing. He also said, they have a good relationship but differ from him in his opinions.

Love your moniker, is that from the Burt Reynolds movie of the same name?
Yes this is just as I predicted, a media love-feast over Ron Reagan and his "Obvious" brilliance. What a sad and pathetic joke this really all is.
Of course Ron is a consultant to MSNBC for the election and will have to hear his dreary diatribe whenever I check in to hear what Matthews and Co. are saying.
By the way Ron will be on Hardball on Monday.

Thanks for speaking the TRUTH! This morning, I saw an piece of the interview with Chris Matthews tonight and thought Ron Jr. was completely off base when speaking about the "religion" issue.

First of all, let's realize Ron Jr. is a non believer, and has said so. If you watched the funeral, he would not bow his head or close his eyes during any of the prayers. Michael Reagan said that it was his dying father's wish that Patti and Ron, Jr. become Christians and that it really bothered him that they weren't. From watching the funeral and listening to Patti, it seems that she may have become a believer. I even thought that maybe Ron, Jr. had become one too until I heard his discourteous remarks about my beloved President, W.

Ron, Jr. always was a liberal and hasn't changed his stripes. I will add to his voice that his father would not approve of his "dissing" our president in religous matters. Reagan has been out of the limelight for years. Our President, since Jan 2001, has ALWAYS made it perfectly clear that he is a very religious man.

For a former president's son to insinuate that our current President's religion isn't genuine, but used for political gain is A HUGE SLAP IN MY FACE AND I RESENT THE HELL OUT OF HIS REMARK!

I really feel like Ron Jr. needs to get some anguished, tongue lashing feedback for his partisian (and don't think they weren't) remarks about our President.

Well Reagan had enough class that I'm sure he would stand by his son even though he's an atheistic liberal.

As far as I'm concerned, he can shut up and go back to hosting dog shows on Animal Planet.

Ask yourself why they did not have Reagan's other son, Michael, on too? His eulogy was entirely different than little Ronnie's. Chrissy Matthews and the NBC libs wanted to bash Bush, and little Ronnie is their spokesmodel of the week.

Sometimes the truth is simple.

"...it was her influence and lack of his that made Ron and Patty what they have become."

I've had the same thought. Nancy is to be commended for her devotion to her husband (who was, face it, loveable), but when it came to rearing kids you have to tip your hat to Jane Wyman.

Isn't it a bit early to force President Reagan to roll over in his grave, wanting desparetely to tell his fairy son to shut his pie hole?

Just what has "Ron, Jr." done to earn face time on TV?

A role as Tinkerbell in the local summer theater doesn't do it for me.

Of course, I agree with you. Matthews & Fineman last week both criticized Mike for bearing his soul and telling of his faith at the Family Funeral at Simi Valley.
If that isn't the place to talk of your Faith in God and how you feel, then when and where is?
This is one area that I am agreeing more and more with Bill O'Reilly on, the continuing Secularization of our society and I don't like it.

This snivelling pansy is using the sad occasion of his father's death to buy himself another 15 minutes of fame, 14 minutes and 59 seconds more than he deserves.

He gave his father nothing but grief when he was alive, and using his hard earned fame and popularity is a slap in the face of President Reagan's legacy.

Back to the bathhouse, you simpering rumpswab!

I hope not. I don't know if I could handle that.

they have some kind of school girl crush on the guy and if he doesn't ask one of them to the Prom they are just going to have a fit.

I never thought of it that way but darn if it doesn't fit. lol

A typical Lefty. Like Nicholas Berg's father, they just can't honor their dead without turning it into an opportunity to push their agenda.
