AP) A statement by Michael Berg, the father of slain businessman Nicholas Berg, on the killing of Paul M. Johnson Jr.: "We, the family of Nicholas Berg, extend our sympathies to the families of Paul M. Johnson, Robert Jacobs, Kenneth Scroggs, Bassam Salih Kubba and Kamal al-Jarah. We hope they will find the strength to endure the pain of their losses. We also extend our sympathies to all the families and friends of all the victims of this war, including United States military, other coalition military, contractors, and the 11,000-plus innocent Iraqi victims. We have been silent until now to avoid for the Johnson family any association our son's death may have had."
Dies this vile man recall that Danny Pearl was beheaded before we into Iraq??? Jerk.
Hell no! He's an extreme leftist.
I am embarrassed to admit this, but I don't understand what he is trying to say with this part of the statement. Given Mr. Berg's viewpoint and conduct in the aftermath of his son's murder, let's just say I am pretty confident of the gist of it, but this particular sentence just doesn't make any sense to me. I wonder if the Johnson family is going to issue a statement....
Did you see this???
Common sense doesn't exist on the fringe left. They get by on pure psychobabble.
I did and started to post a comment and then backed out.
Any words I posted would be harsh and he did lose a son and I just can't go there.
They needed a press statement to issue condolences? Thus we see the true intent. Do they think speaking out now avoids association? Well, it speaks volumes for opportunism.
May have been a "liberal KCOC"...kill cooties on contact jinx...
I think he's trying to say that he didn't want to give the terrorists any ideas. But I think I'm being very generous.
Yep, oppurtunity knocked and Daddy Berg got the door.
No decent father would use the horrible death of his son to score political points as Mr. Berg is so desperately trying to do.
"We also extend our sympathies to all the families and friends of all the victims of this war"
Including the families and friends of the 3,000+ who died on 9/11?
Or is that just to the families and friends of the 9/11 families against Pres. Bush.....
It's the Birkenstockholm Syndrome.
What about the hundreds of thousands Hussein killed? No sympathy for them?
Oh, you don't want to do that Mr. Berg? Why not? Because they would kill and behead you as well? Oh, I see. But couldn't you reason with them? They would probably still kill you, even if you were sweetness and light?
Well Mr. Berg, you can cower and whimper safe from home, because better men than you fight to keep these animals back on their heels in the Middle East, instead of at your throat in Philadelphia.
He probably think Daniel Pearl was killed over the Iraq war as well. Complete idiot.
HE WAS BEHEADED BY AlQaeda in SAUDI ARABIA !!!
Berg was beheaded in Iraq. Mr. Berg, these are DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. Your Iraq War propaganda has no rational basis for introduction in this context.
All it does demonstrate is that we are, indeed, in a worldwide war against terror and that, as President Bush promised shortly after 9/11, it begins with AlQaeda in Afghanistan but it does not end there.
as i said on an earlier thread...we have to kill these people and we have to kill them with such a vengance that they are afraid to stick their heads out
This is a "holy war"...they declared it, not us...as long as our politicians placate them and praise them as being "peaceful", they will keep doing this sort of thing.
Kill 'em!!! kill 'em one and all!!!! I am sorry for their women and children, but they have no voice and the arab men are all cowards and homosexuals that hide behind women's skirts.
It would take less than an hour to turn the entire middle east into a glass parking lot!!!
Consider it filed.
Thanks for the ping.
I think Michael needs a trip to the Middle East as a terrorist shield.
