Even with all the pork flowing in courtesy of King of Pork Projects himself, Bobby "Ku Klux Klan" Byrd, and Nicky Rahall, WV still doesn't have any jobs.

Ohio's numbers are indeed "ick" and one of the real substantial problems Bush has in the campaign so far. If Ohio starts picking up jobs, all of those Kerry ads criticizing Bush about jobs will seem silly. If the trend in Ohio continues, Bush has a real chance of losing by 5 or 6 points in the fall.

This is no doubt impressive, however, what kind of wages do these newly created jobs give? Also, what quality of benefits do theyn carry?

Tax increases on the way. Government picks up private industry slack with pump-priming. All I see in my neighborhood is a stead stream of road jobs without particular need for urgency.

I guess Alaska is no longer a state. Maybe there was some substance to the Alaska Independence Party.

"The largest percentage gains were reported in Nevada (+4.6 percent), Arizona (+2.7 percent), Virginia (+2.5 percent), and Florida (+2.4 percent)."
See what low taxes can do? Go Arizona!!

The news just keeps on getting worse and worse for Kerry. The tipping point is coming sometime in the next 45-75 days.

Thanks very much for posting this. I tried looking for these stats over the last few days and all I saw was the ones for April. Sure looks good!

I don't consider 1,100 jobs created this past month in Ohio a bad number at all, considering the size of Ohio. They love the military in Ohio and I don't think that Ohio will go for Kerry.

NC gains nearly 14,000 jobs and SC loses jobs. What gives? This is not a good news report for Cong. DeMint, even though he isnt personally causing the losses. I would be surprised if this report isnt a focus of the last two days of the Beasley for Senate campaign.

In Baton Rouge they're celebrating because they were able to get 850 jobs by promising the farm to a business.
Too bad it'll be offset by the loss of the Saints in a year or two.

According to the stats gathered, more than 70% of these new jobs have salaries higher than the median salary.

Missouri 100 jobs? My company alone added 30 jobs this last month, and we are very small.
