President Bush is about to speak to our troops.
You can tell. These guys love him! WOW!
Guess so...now he'll have Kerry on to ask him if he'd consider being VP if McCain chose to run as an Independent.
He again brings up Germany in the aftermath of WWII.
He describes the months and dire predictions and fears of Germany's fate. The pessimists did not win--we helped the German people rise above hunger and hopelessness.
A peaceful and democratic Europe was our goal.
We face the same challenges today. It's just in a different part of the world. There are those who doubt, there are those who are pessimistic.
One of the BEST speeches ever. Thank you John McCain for making yourself clear and joining with this president in support of the mission, the troops and America!!!
Courage to speak the truth. The men and women of our armed services (and us families) can GET BEHIND THIS!!!!
Semper Fi!
I believe Rush has it on his website. He read from it extensively and GWB could have read more, but I'll take it. Let the people know that this isn't the first time the media has tried to plant seeds of defeatism in the minds and hearts of the people.
Go GWB!
President Bush just quoted a 1946 article from the NY Times about the occupation of Germany, 18 months after Berlin fell. The Times said the same thing back then as they are saying about Iraq now.
But then I read over the years about how he's leaning Democratic and he brownnoses the Dems more than the Pubbies, and I turn very cool to him.
"Fortunately, the pessimists did not have their day."
and we all know who Pessimist in Chief is.
Amen to that!
And one person said that in the last few weeks before the Election, FnKerry will "really heat things up." Well......in order to get through all of that, we will really need our friends in FR!
I can't look at that man without reaching for the Pepto, so I'm sure I should stock up.
If FnKerry gets elected, we will all be in big trouble.
I need to hear President Bush speak in order to recharge my battery's. It's really refreshing!
I guess that means that McCain is no longer a Maverick?
To all you said: Amen.
On second thought skip the bike....might take a pony today.
That's a great idea that should be passed on to the RNC!
Gaudy palaces!
Eleven billion dollars in oil revenues since liberation...now being used to help the Iraqi people. Yes!!!!
WHAAAAAAAAAAAA!! Sniff I'm one of them! But thank god for Free Republic. This thread is awesome! :-)
no, it's just that he is no longer courageous. (to the ratmedia)
He's doing it now ... what do you think he, Cheney and Laura are doing?
It's not being reported in the news .. but they have been campaigning to regular folks also
And boy, so do I!!! He has it all!!!
