.....Yet none of those Kerry is reportedly considering seems to fit any of those molds.
One reason is that, in the past decade, Republicans have mostly dominated big-state governorships, especially in battlegrounds such as Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Wisconsin and Michigan, which hold the key to this presidential election.
Moreover, the female and minority Democratic candidates who have won major elective office around the country are too far left to help a presidential candidate who himself embodies liberalism.
The exception might be Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, but, because she was born in Canada, she does not meet the constitutional requirement that presidents and vice presidents be native-born citizens.

No. Ford will be HRH Hillay!ous' running mate in '04. Even if he were old enough, She would never allow that.
My Pick is sitll Jane Harman. She is the only one that gives Kerry most of what he needs. Her only problem is coming from a state he should have in the Agbay.
Clinton/Ford in 04.
What can you tell me about Jane Harman?
John Breaux Louisianna. That is the choice I most fear. Some have mentioned Sam Nunn he would be another choice I would fear.
Interesting point about Rendell..but you'd figure he's the type who'd jump at the chance for the VP spot, because he has nothing to lose, and it greatly increases his public profile..Ford is a really interesting guy..he's also taken a very low profile the last few months...he was a big Kerry supporter early on..now, it's like he's backing away..his problem is, he's stymied..stuck...will he risk his seat to take on Frist for the senate..it's not a lock...and I don't think he could get elected Governor..yet he's stuck in the House, in the "moronity"...which can't be fun....want a long shot....a very long shot...if Dems implode in '04, and drop several seats i the Senate..well, could Harold change parties, in return for an open invite to Frist's senate seat?
He should pick Michael Moore.
