Jsut saw a promo..to paraphrase..."his remarks at his Father's funeral have set off a controversy...." Is there ANYONE the media will not exploit to further their cause and bash Bush?
Let me attempt to explain to you
one final time since I am growing BORED.
Maureen is adopted.
Michael is adopted.
They are from the union of Jane Wyman and RWR.
YOU are the one who dropped Michael from the mix.
You are wrong.
Ron is the ONLY son of Nancy and RWR
and to refer to him as the eldest is
flat out wrong.
Good night.
I think you clicked to reply to the wrong thread. Now that's hard to screw up. What planet are you from?
I liked that guy from "Move Forward" (the conservative answer to MoveOn, I think) or whatever it is.
And did you hear that Republican Congressman?
Michael Moore included a clip of him in the movie. Moore is shown asking him if this congressman would help recruit the sons of Congressmen to go over and serve in Iraq. The question is in the movie and a freezeframe, evidently. The Congressman said what was left out was his answer--that his nephew was being shipped out (at that time). Moore didn't put that in the movie.
What a liar Moore is.
We've been over this before with other posters; proportionately, Congress has more "children" serving in the military at this time than the general public.
It's interesting what Moore and the press leave out to further their cause.
in Philadelphia, which featured a tribute to his father,
telling the Washington Post's Lloyd Grove, "The big elephant
sitting in the corner is that George W. Bush is simply
unqualified for the job... What's his accomplishment?
That he's no longer an obnoxious drunk?" Since then he's
been quiet about the current occupant of the White House -- until now.
Reagan says he doesn't have anything personal against Bush.
He met him only once, at a White House event during the
Reagan presidency. "At least my wife insists we did -- he left
absolutely no impression on me. But Doria remembers him
very negatively -- I can't repeat what she said about him,
I'd rather not use profanity. I do remember
Jeb -- a big fella, seemed to be the brightest of the bunch.
And of course their parents were very charming."
Reagan's parents were notoriously remote from their four
children. Ron Jr. reportedly had the closest relations
with his parents and he remains close with his mother, Nancy
Reagan, who as the keeper of the Reagan flame is often
called upon to dedicate public sites bearing her
husband's name. Reagan says his mother shares his
"distrust of some of these [Bush] people. She gets that
they're trouble in all kinds of ways. She doesn't like
their religious fervor, their aggression."
Reagan says his family feels particularly alienated from the
Republican Party over its opposition to embryonic
stem cell research, which could have significant benefit
for Alzheimer patients like his father. "Now ignorance
is one thing, ignorance can be cured. But many
of the Republican leaders opposing this research know better,
people like [Senate Majority Leader] Bill Frist,
who's a doctor, for God's sake. People like him are
blocking it to pander to the 20 percent of their base who
are mouth-breathers. And that's unconscionable --
there are lives at stake here. Stem cell research can
revolutionize medicine, more than anything since antibiotics."
You're right. Little Ronnie has a weak chin. How did a man such as President Reagan sire such a bird brain?
As for Michael Reagan...he is just like his father.
Michael's words were wonderful. I think President Reagan would beam with pride at Michael. He is a class act.
Let's be clear here. Little Ron and Patti did not get along with their parents because they (kids) are leftist liberals. Patti has said in the past that she disagreed with everything her father stood for. Nuff said!
Where does Michael fit in your scheme? He's older than Ron, so your "Ron is the eldest son" point is not correct.
Mrs Brady leads her poor husband around like a dog on a leash- she uses him for her cause and gets paid to do it- I am sure Reagan resented this since he took a shot too - and knew why - a nut was out there running around with a gun- not the gun itself!
LOL!
Cheers!! ;0}
Ummm...did Ron the Younger have the characteristics of an eldest born? or the characteristics of a middle-child? Where would you place Michael? Blended families must be totally messed up on that score. Would make for some territory fights.
Some families can have two "eldest," right? Depending on the distance between the same sex children, birth order, etc?
You said Patti has said. Are you saying Patti speaks for Ron?
I doubt it.
Then your Senior Thesis is wrong.
Hello, how are you? Well, I am from the State of Connecticut. Alternatively called, the "State of Confusion"
I guess that explains a lot, huh? LOL!
I would not be so quick to dismiss him out of hand. I think we should give due consideration to his ideas..
He's a RINO--Reagan in Name Only. Michael may lack the DNA but he is more like his dad than that twerp Ron Jr.
I wonder what Ron thought his father's were?
I'm gonna butt in...again.
There are those who are born the eldest, but do not hold the position of honor, so to speak, as the eldest child. A second born son, for instance, can displace a first born due to a meeker personality or favortism by a parent & become in action and recognition, the eldest son. Age does not always apply.
