The interview also covered the war in Iraq, which was not mentioned in yesterday's excerpts. Rather said Clinton was "supportive" of President Bush on Iraq and that "it will surprise some people."

Well a lot of the intelligence was gathered during the Clinton years - what else can Bubba say (don't answer that).
Well of course he is.
He knows that his Justice Department obtained an indictment of OBL in 1998 that cited OBL's long standing relationship with Iraq.
... Sean Hannity of Fox News.
If you recall, Richard Clarke testified before the 9/11 commission that Clinton wanted to get rid of Saddam Hussien but didn't feel he could get the support of the American people behind him. Of course it's hard to say what was factual after Clarkes self opposing testimonies in public and private.
What does supportive mean? I haven't heard clinton speaking out in defense of Bush any time recently. Or for the past year. He has other things on his mind, like chasing after his mythical historic legacy and young women.
If he comes out publicly like that, I'll be the first in line to thank Mr. Clinton, and to give him his due.
No surprise. First, he needs to ensure that Bush wins the election in order for Hillary to mount a campaign in '08. Secondly, he's all about "Legacy" building. His grandstanding bellicosity against Saddam needs to be interpreted as something other than his "anti-Monica" diversionary tactic.
Only because the media is treating Iraq as if it came out of the blue with the Bush Administration.
In fact, Clinton tried to drum up support for the final reckoning with Saddam, but only partly succeeded with the Iraq Liberation Act.
Save the bull s&it, Klinton. I heard you spewing your filth about GW in Brazil.
You CONVICTED LIAR, you.
Oh, really? The Weinsteins coming to Michael Moore's rescue suggests otherwise. And that's just for starters...
LOL!
"It's all about Miss Hillary"
Yup. And after sKerry loses in the fall, watch Ms Klinton be "reborn" over the next 4 years into the biggest fan and defender of the US military anyone has ever seen coming from the Dem side! It's the only way she'll have a chance in 2008.
x42 returning the favor for Bush's kind remarks about Clinton this week at the White House.
Kerry has tried to blunt thin inherent party handicap with his "I served in Vietnam, don't-cha-know..", but it hasn't worked for him. There are those embarrassing comments he made in 1971 that he's never recanted that keep getting in his way.
Hillary Clinton is trying to morph into Golda Meir..... I don't think it's going to work!
"Hillary Clinton is trying to morph into Golda Meir..... I don't think it's going to work!"
You are flat wrong on that. In 4 years, Hillary will look the spitting image of Golda, but without the feminine side :)
