No offense, but two wrongs don't make a right.
The things at Abu Ghraib have to be compared to American standards as per standing orders and the UCMJ, not the standards of murderous thugs in the service of even more murderous thugs. What Saddam's jailers did should be used at his trial, which should be swiftly followed by his execution. It shouldn't be used as standard to forgive some American losers' misdeeds there.

That said, Abu Ghraib comes about up to the standards of a really tough university frat hazing - if my dad's tales are true, the Citadel (Charleston, SC) had MUCH worse hazing that what went on at Abu Ghraib, especially in groups like the Summerall Guard!
