Gallows humor, anyone?*

*(Too bad there won't be one used in this case...)

Seemingly in California murder is a laughing matter. As is child molestation and other assorted perversions.

I know murder trials are serious but I don't want to hear about them weeks on end when there are other really serious things going on in the world.

The jury's decision has already been rendered: not guilty. He'll walk away just as fast as OJ did.

Peterson must be quilty, because he looks guilty. If he were innocent, he would look innocent! A trial is just to establish guilt and since he's guilty, let's just lynch him.

Shades of OJ. Geragos is a slimeball, just like all the OJ lawyers. Peterson is guilty as sin, just like OJ. Will this be another OJ travesty in the end? Could be.

He is up on charges with the Michael Jackson trial. I hope he gets buried with that BEFORE Scott's trial is over.

Wipe that smile off of his ugly face.

Sorry for the rant, but he really rubs my fur the wrong war. He is so arrogant!

Only a lawyer, especially one who defended that floozy Susan Mc Dougal, would crack jokes during the trial of a murderer of a pregnant wife.

This guy is beneath contempt.

I need to take a shower every time I see Geragos on TV. The man is scum.

By the way, Scott Peterson, if fishing is your alibi, at least know what type of fish can be found in your river/pond/lake/body of water. I'm fairly sure the "I don't know" fish doesn't scream 'INNOCENCE' to the jurors.

So, the defense strategy is to just keep everyone laughing? Why not just hire Jay Leno and be done with it?

sadly, we're at the mercy of talking heads and media reporters.
Talking heads, not present in court, rely on input from news sources who hash over and edit what has actually transpired in the courtroom. They hone in on one or two statements out of a full day of testimony and twist and turn it to their point of view.

Reporters comments outside the courtroom are limited to one to two minute soundbites for live-feed and then the talking head frenzy begins.

Guess the only way to be totally informed is to either attend the trial or somehow read the transcripts.

(stepping down from the soapbox...)

I'll tell you something, Mr. Mark Geragos!!!! Here's someone who in July of last year would have had his first real long giggle but alas could not because YOUR CLIENT KILLED HIM before he ever got to take a breath.

We all remember exactly where we were sitting last summer and what word set off our little Oliver, born the week Connor would have been, and we treasure that memory of the first little innocent peals and that wonderful, happy face.

Take another look at your slides of the little sea-beaten body and think of your own son when he was small. And then SHUT THE HECK UP.

Defense lawyer Mark Geragos has cracked up everyone from the jury to prosecution witnesses during the high-profile murder trial. Experts say it could work for him.

One can only imagine what a ham Geragos would be if the trial were being televised. Everyday would be the Tonight Show for the man defending an accused murderer.

Crier or Pirro summed it up quite nicely this evening. Would a man returning from a fishing trip, who does not find his wife home cooking for Christmas Eve, decide to do laundry before sounding the general alarm?

Apparently the judge has subpoened the tape of Juror #5 speaking to Rocha and may excuse him on Monday. I'm beginning to see shadows of Judge Ito and unless the judge and prosecutors gain more control of the jury and Geragos, Snot will walk. As it is, even Hannity & Colmes are now agreeing with defense attorneys that there is not enough evidence to convict. These two were practically hanging Snot a few months ago.
