Great article, thanks for posting it.
This line is a keeper and very true:
"Ironically, the always market-oriented Ronald Reagan would probably have asked his wife, "Honey, if embryonic stem-cell therapy is such a treasure trove of medical advances, why isn't private research and development funding flocking to it?"

I just realized this is an Ann Coulter article! So yes, pictures are required. :) However, I haven't been able to post one. I'm not very good at html. :)
Also, I think this thread will get more "hits" if people realize this is from Ann--perhaps the moderator could put her name in parentheses after the title?

Ann is being too critical. After all, RATS have decided that
in hindsight, RR wasn't bad at all.
We know, don't we, that's how RATS decide things...(/sarc.)

. I think Reagan would have favored converting Third World people to Christianity. (Now why does that idea ring a bell?)This woman needs to have my children.

As usual Ann hits another home run.
The democrats and the media opposed Reagan identically to the way they are opposing Bush today. And with the same vehemence. I remember it well.
They will of course NEVER admit they were wrong and he was right, particularly about the Soviet thing. Just like 20 years from now they will never admit they were wrong and Bush was right about the Iraq war and the terrorist thing.
Reagan sparked and inspired a revolution which continues today and will continue for years to come.

"Someone persuaded poor, dear Nancy Reagan that research on human embryos might have saved her Ronnie from Alzheimer's. Now the rest of us are supposed to shut up because the wife of America's greatest president (oh, save your breath, girls!) supports stem-cell research.
Ironically, the always market-oriented Ronald Reagan would probably have asked his wife, "Honey, if embryonic stem-cell therapy is such a treasure trove of medical advances, why isn't private research and development funding flocking to it?"
My father had parkensons. He died in 1992. I know without a doubt that had someone said, hey, we can inject fetal tissue into your spinal column and cure you, he would have told them to shove off.
