WASHINGTON D.C. - Yesterday the American Enterprise Institute showed a brief video on the torture abuses in the Iraqi prison system under Saddam Hussein. The video was roughly 4 minutes in length.
Reports are confirming that minimal press turned out for the viewing. What it contained was enough to sicken many of those who did attend. The tape showed fingers being cut off of prisoners hands, tongues being lopped out of people's mouths with razor blades and prisoners being fed alive to Saddam's doberman pinchers as well as decapitation.
The Saddam Thugs in the video chant the former dictator's name over, and sing his praises.

If Bush/Cheney wanted to keep their jobs they would air these to the American people and show them exactly what the hell we are in there for. If people don't have the stomach for it...then step aside and let him do his job without their monday morning qb b.s..

Rush just said 4 or 5 media reporters showed up and that was all.
The media aren't interested in Saddam's real tortures; the media is only interested in making pc with the attributed tortures of making prisoners wear panties on their heads.
The media has an agenda, and the real tortures of Saddam don't fit that agenda.

Reports are confirming that minimal press turned out for the viewing. No surprise. If it doesn't conform to their worldview, they don't want to see it.
The transparently uber-liberal press should be ashamed of itself.

Someone should mislabel a few of those tapes as "Recent American torture at Abu Graib". Then send a few off to CNN International or CBS....
Why they'll of course air those bastards quicker than you can say 'Jack Robinson', slobbering and hyperventilating all the way.
Then make very public contact with them...er, that there had been a switching mistake. "Those tapes are actually of Saddam's regime torturing and killing opponents, dear CBS."
"You know, the SADDAM HUSSEIN that GEORGE BUSH DEPOSED"?

That's exactly right. These are pictures of torchure - and no one in the media is interested. The picture of naked guys with bags on their heads - now that's news and proof that America is bad.
Please make this evidence available on the White House Web Site!

I heard Rick Santorum interviewed on Hannity two weeks ago saying there was a long tape played for all the major media outlets which depicted all of Hussien's abuses, including at Abu Graib. The outlets, which included CNN/ABC/CBS/NBC, etc were all handed a copy of the tape. Only, now get this, french television played any part of the tape.

Thank you to every veteran and active member of the US for their duty and giving their lives. It's because of them that I don't have to live like that.
AND TO THINK OUR MEDIA LOVES TO DEMONIZE THEM. IF IT WEREN'T FOR OUR TROOPS, THE TALKING HEADS WOULD HAVE NO HEADS.

The press didn't want to see it, because then they'd look silly whining about what those few nutty soldiers from the U.S. did.

Reporters have to face up to the fact that right now, if we highlight the wrongs that Americans commit but not out of squeamishness the far worse horrors committed by others, we become propaganda tools for the other side.

To: AmericanInTokyo
Great idea! (and the only one that would get the laughable, biased media to air the video)
