After you've shocked people in every new way you can think of, you either run out of ideas or they no longer care. Her career isn't built on good music (especially in recent years), so once the shock value is gone, there's nothing left.

6 shows nightly in the same city... yea, she's doing way too many shows for 1 venue in a row to sell out.... They'll be handing them out for free to fill it up to make it look good I am sure by teh time its over.....

6 shows is just too much. I doubt any singer/pop star right now could sell out 6 shows in a row in MSG.

But, but, but the Washington Post says it's a great show! How could this be?!

It also had a glowing article on the 9/11 comission. Such great people...

Didn't Bruce do five nights at Giants Stadium 20 years ago? Wow, was it really that long ago?

Her biggest talent was an ability to market herself. She's a good dancer, average singer.

Hey Madonna - you better do something brazenly hussyish - each year older you need to upgrade the brazenness factor. You see - this is what's required of aging women who got famous for their looks and not their talent. I also hear this is what old hookers have to do.

Years ago, when Madonna caused some discontent by pulling the flag of Puerto Rico between her legs during a show on that island, someone (Letterman or Leno I think) joked that it was faster than doing Puerto Rico one person at a time. [rimshot!] What may have happened is, she's pissed off a lot of people in the NY area by cancelling that gig in Israel due to PLO terrorist threat. As goes Madonna's popularity, so goes the election chances of John F-ing Kerry? ;') Amazing how an economy still in recovery from the Clinton Recession can impact the entertainment industry -- particularly the overpaid parts of it.
George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent

No surprise. From Madonna bashing the country that made her a star, to the Dixie Chicks, to Susan Sarandon bombing in her last attempt at "entertainment" (some might recall the ratings for Sarandon's tv movie last year was measured in negative numbers) those that pay the bills round here are not amused.
