JFK Airport Terminal Evacuated

Terminal 1 of JFK Airport in New York is being evacuated at this time.
Public Safety Officials and the Port Authority have confirmed to NBC News that a possible "explosive device" has been detected in an x-ray machine and an evacuation has been ordered for the protection of the area.
Positive identification that the device is an explosive has not yet been confirmed.

Fruitcake, yes, I can see how that would be the case. There are only 3 in the whole world BTW. They are never eaten by humans and just pass from person to person..... ;-)

UPDATE: ALL CLEAR
A Port Authority spokesman tells NBC News that the situation is all clear at JFK Terminal 1 after a suspicious piece of luggage was found.
Port Authority Spokesman Tony Ciavolella says at around 3 p.m., a suspicious piece of luggage was found at Terminal 1. The area was evacuated and the NYC bomb squad was called in.
They secured the bag and the situation is under control.

This is actually the thing that worries me--one false alarm, and they make everyone leave the terminal--which is relatively safe--and stand around out on the curb, where there is absolutely NO protection from cars, trucks, etc.
