SCOTT'S FISHY FURY

SCOTT'S FISHY FURY

By HOWARD BREUER

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 15, 2004 -- REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Scott Peterson hotly cursed and threw a flashlight after police grilled him about his suspicious fishing trip the day his pregnant wife, Laci, disappeared, one officer testified yesterday.

"I asked him what he was fishing for," Modesto Detective Matthew Spurlock told rapt jurors during the start of the third week of Peterson's murder trial.

"He had this blank look for a second or so, his eyes shifted a bit. And he didn't really answer the question.

"I asked what he was using for bait, and I got the same kind of response . . . this blank shifting," Spurlock said. "He couldn't really answer. Then he said, 'a silver lure,' and he held his hands about 7 to 8 inches apart."

Spurlock said that when he then asked Peterson to leave the house, he watched as the fertilizer salesman cursed through gritted teeth and threw a flashlight to the ground.

"It sounded like 'f - - -,' like it was being said out of frustration," the cop said............

Mistrial denied in surprise testimony

Mistrial denied in surprise testimony

REDWOOD CITY -- The judge in Scott Peterson's double-murder trial refused to declare a mistrial Monday over surprise testimony about Peterson's use of an obscenity shortly after his pregnant wife disappeared.

Superior Court Judge Alfred Delucchi gently chastised prosecutor Rick Distaso for pulling a fast one, but concluded that it was not a gross violation of trial procedure.

Also Monday, Sharon Rocha cried as she looked away from a large screen showing remains of her daughter, Laci Peterson. Minutes later, pictures of her smiling daughter splashed on the screen and Rocha quietly got up and exited the courtroom.

And two Modesto police officers said Scott Peterson seemed caught off-guard when first asked about his solo fishing trip.

Sparks flew after lead defense attorney Mark Geragos asked Delucchi for a mistrial, in a motion that drew snickers from the audience.........

June 14 (BCN) — A furious Mark Geragos asked for a mistrial this morning in the Scott Peterson double murder trial after prosecutors failed to inform him that a police officer overheard Peterson use an expletive on the night his wife Laci went missing. .........

I wish I knew. This witness it would appear has JUST surfaced. How Convenient. ALL year long we have been as well as the media, stating that Laci knew NOTHING of this boat. Geragos gets in a tight spit and voila - A WITNESS!! Yeah right, read credible too I'll bet.

Alright you guys, I think you didn't get my meaning on if the sonar stuff was true. If it was true we would be seeing Geragos lashing out at the public (peanut gallery?) and asking for mistrials at the drop of a hat (or a flashlight?).

It's really embarrassing to have to explain a clever remark because that means it wasn't...so..clever.

California does have reciprocal discovery in criminal cases. The name may have made it to the witness list but who knows if Geragos ever intended on using her.

Perhaps it was the Maternity Motherhood logo that would likely be placed on the front of the pants. I did hear that Amy went shopping with Laci to the MM store and Laci bought some outfits. Perhaps it was just an embroidered MM!! Guess we'll find out.

I REALLY DON't GET your point about Geragos lashing out at the public. WHY??? If Laci and Amy went shopping at that Maternity Motherhood store and their clothing contains a logo, I can see how it might be spotted.

From Article:

............................................"Ralston said his side-scan sonar, which produces a clearer image than regular sonar, detected something that day. Divers using an underwater camera took a closer look, he said."

"It appeared to be a body, but we never got a close look at it," he said. "Wind-generated waves made it too dangerous to take a closer look at it."

"When they returned a week later, the object was gone, Ralston said. He said the churning created by large ships using the channel could have moved the object.

Sonar Spied body in March

CO, I found this article. It appears that unless they went back again and got a better shot they could not have seen the lable on her pants or even if it was a body for sure. I also read an article where they said they found a body but later said; "No". It was an anchor.
I just assumed it was one like this,
but maybe it was more like this. Like Scotty made only his were round.

It will be very interesting to see how this all plays out.

Canadian, would you please ping me whenever you have some juicy information?

I remember that article. According to the girl on WS that I am quoting, THAT statement was the damage control statement. We will just have to wait and see IF her information is for real I guess!!

This was right after the police officer told him, "What other leads? We ain't chasing no other stinking leads. We pin this one on you and call it a day. A lot easier than trying to dig for other suspects."

I went searching and found that "anchor" threads on CTV were locked or deleted because sources could not be verified as credible....

I am ever hopeful of more evidence than I already know but am wary of getting my hopes up over unsourced information. If they found one anchor that could show it was the same as Scott's concrete mixture, I would be thrilled.....

Then there's Q..,his tarp and watery grave info and pics on Scottisinnocent.com. I consider it "sleuthing entertainment" until verified.

Didn't Snott himself in one of his interviews that Laci did NOT know about the boat...it was a surprise???
So how does MG think he can now come along and have someone say she was IN the boat??
For me, the taped interview of Snotty would impeach any witness that claims that Laci was in or around the boat.
