***Attention Activists and Concerned Citizens of Los Angeles County!***
Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 15, 2004, 9:30 a.m. at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting (Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration building) 500 West Temple St. Room 381 B, Los Angeles, Calif., 90012, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich will bring forth a motion to "place the decision whether or not to alter the County Seal in any respects to the vote of the people of Los Angeles County on the November 2, 2004 Ballot." The supervisors are expected to vote on this motion at tomorrow's meeting.
"It's important that concerned citizens attend this meeting to let the board know where they stand on this issue," said, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, founder and president of BOND (Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny).
Last week, despite an overwhelming show of support by 2,000 concerned citizens who rallied outside the board meeting in support of preserving the cross on the county seal, the supervisors voted 3-2 to remove the cross.
Rev. Peterson is asking fair-minded Americans to contact the three supervisors who voted to remove the cross and let them know what they think about the ACLU's attempts to erase California's history.
