What's happenin'? I've got a ton to do tonight, so I'm going to keep it short.
I just finished cutting the new trailer, and will spend the rest of the night, focused on the demo for distributors. We have a solid skeleton, and now it's about putting my personality into it. So that's where we are. I'm absolutely blown away by how big this whole endeavor has become. We toiled away in anonymity for a year, and to suddenly have people paying attention is really strange.
So in a matter of a few short weeks, we've gone from being in a situation where I didn't know if I'd ever get the flick finished, to a situation where the film is fully funded, and where we will be announcing a distributor within a few short days. More on that later.
The most important part for me is that the film will be seen. I'm willing to deal with whether people love it or hate it, and whether it's a smash or a bomb, because I crafted it out of nothing. It's on my shoulders right now. The next few days are going to be the part of the ride where we crest and start screaming at 100MPH. It will be a blast, provided we can keep it on the rails. I'll keep you posted.

This is good for Michael Moore. No publicity is bad publicity for a guy like him.
Sure he hates America. So do all of his fans. It's no secret. And he's bigger in Europe than he is in the States.
This is a guy who would welcome a report that he's a child molester because it would get his fat-bloated ass onto people's screens and get him a higher notariety.
This movie also tells Michael Moore and the unwashed masses that the producers (and by association, anyone who opposes Moore's viewpoints) take him seriously. I don't. I think he's a pathetic hypocritical slob without an ounce of talent.
BTTT - important stuff.
Well .. I'd like pick your statements apart - I hope you don't mind ..??
First of all .. NOBODY's ego is fed by protests. While you might think that's true .. it's not .. trust me!
Lots of uninformed, non-political, young people will like his film. First of all it feeds the lies the dems (or their parents) have been feeding them about Bush. Why bother with a kiddy film when Moore's film is more "adult". [the kids just don't know it's really not adult]
The way to start conversations is to confront people with the truth. You can do that by protesting. People see the sign - read the comment - start talking about what they saw vs. what the sign said .. start questioning film. The choir Moore relates to won't bother to see his film .. they already hate Bush.
Protesting doesn't make anyone consequential. Ignoring someone sends a signal that nobody cares what the film is, or that the film is OKAY. We should never want people to believe this film is OKAY. This film is the worst possible type of hate speech. We cannot allow it to stand.
Of course expecte The Fat One to try to monkey it up somehow.

I recently attended a gathering of Freepers and, well, it was just so strange. Being in a room full of people that were polite, articulate, content and conservative, well, that was sooo refreshing. I can't imagine what the film experience would be like.
I most readily support any efforts to expand truth into film the way it has been done by radio and of course FreeRepublic.
Bring it on! Let the good films roll.....
