Did anyone catch PBS today. All day they aired the AMERICAN EXPERIENCE show about REAGAN. IT was in a couple of parts. I Tivo'd it.

I've heard Hugh Sidey interviewed many times. He revered President and Mrs. Reagan.
I have no doubt he knew the source of Mrs. Thatcher's sentiment.

Looks like I may have to take a serving of crow (with copious BBQ sauce).

I didn't notice the writer was Hugh Sidey. I am unaware of his previous
take on the Reagans, but I do remember that he wrote a very nice introduction to
one of the Time-Life commenmorative magazines on WWII.

Just based on that one bit of writing, I tend to think your contention is correct.

I saw some footage today of that last flight across the continent back to California, particularly when the wings were 'dipped' over the town in Illinois. I was again touched by Nancy's stength: While I previously imagined maybe she would have 2-3 hours of rest on the flight before the burial after all she had been through, there she was greeting people on the plane, sharing memories, and accepting condolences until the last moment. God bless her strength. I pray tonight for her complete rest and the ability to regain her stength after all she has endured this week.
