TVC Weekly News: Parents Beware: 'Shrek 2' Features Transgenderism And Crossdressing Themes
Summary: The DreamWorks' animated film, "Shrek 2," is billed as harmless entertainment but contains subtle sexual messages.
Parents who are thinking about taking their children to see "Shrek 2," may wish to consider the following: The movie features a male-to-female transgender (in transition) as an evil bartender. The character has five o'clock shadow, wears a dress and has female breasts. It is clear that he is a she-male. His voice is that of talk show host Larry King.
During a dance scene at the end of the movie, this transgendered man expresses sexual desire for Prince Charming, jumps on him, and both tumble to the floor.
In another scene in the movie, Shrek and Donkey need to be rescued from a dungeon where they are chained against the wall. The rescue is conducted by Pinocchio who is asked to lie so his nose will grow long enough for one of the smaller cartoon characters to use it as a bridge to reach Shrek and Donkey. Donkey encourages him to lie about something and suggests he lie about wearing women's underwear. When he denies wearing women's underwear, his nose begins to grow.
An earlier scene in the movie features a wolf dressed in grandma's clothing and reading a book when Prince Charming encounters him. Later, one of the characters refers to the wolf's gender confusion.
TVC's report, "A Gender Identity Disorder Goes Mainstream," explains the transgender agenda and the effort to deconstruct the biological reality of male and female. DreamWorks is helping in this effort by promoting cross dressing and transgenderism in this animated film.
Agenda was not my word choice. I just thought the jokes were tacky, leftist garbage. I think parents should care more about content than they apparently do. And I do not think everything goes over these kids heads, especially when they see the movies repeatedly on video. Heck, most kids are able to memorize movies in pretty short order. That's the way their minds work.
Homosexual Agenda ping - more on the cross-dressing barmaid, thong lingerie-wearing Pinocchio movie "Shrek 2". It's not a brand new thread, but it's another discussion about the garbage Disney tosses out labeled "for children" when it's full of off-color humor and adult innuendo. As though children aren't affected.
Disney specifically taints their entertainment this way precisely because children ARE affected.
Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
transgender agenda ping.
Well said.
I saw Shrek2, and it WAS funny. Unfortunately, I had my three kids with me. They won't be seeing it again. It was definitely inappropriate in many parts for my 11, 9, and 7 year olds.
This may be a really old topic, but I really want to point out that Shrek 2 is NOT made by Disney, it’s made by Dreamworks, so don’t drag Disney into Shrek 2. I do agree that Disney definitely needs to be called out right now for their more inappropriate stuff, stuff that makes even Shrek 2’s inappropriate cross-dress stuff seem like Bugs Bunny-style humor by comparison, but Shrek 2 was not Disney’s fault during that time.
What? I never have watched any Shrek anything, and in fact, never watch any movies at all.
Maybe you meant to reply to someone else..?
Disney totally sucks and its purpose is to degrade children. Has been for a long, long time. 20 years ago and more they were pushing feminism and trans crap and it’s only gotten worse.
Aha, now I see - it’s a thread from 2004 that I pinged out.
Well, as you said, it was a thread you pinged out years prior, and to be fair, you were talking in a thread about Shrek 2.
And yeah, I agree with you on that. They definitely started pushing feminism in Beauty and the Beast (and not the Susan B. Anthony kind, but more like the Betty Friedan kind), and that was a mistake. In fact, the guy responsible for BATB being feminist propaganda is the same guy responsible for Shrek: Jeffrey Katzenberg.
I replied to you before paying any attention to the date! Apologies...
I was on Amtrak from Seattle down to CA more than 20 years ago and there was the Disney movie “Mulan” on a screen, so since I was captive, I watched a little of it. It had the “heroine” (are we allowed to say that now?) who was tougher and smarter and a better fighter than the doofus “hero” -really anti-hero, who was weird looking and stupid, and when he proposed to her, she refused, like any good feminazi. Then there were the “funny” transvestites prancing around. That’s all I remember and I don’t want to lose my dinner so I’ll close the memory door in my brain...
