Must have been a hard week for Rather and all the other liberal talking heads.

re: #2

That was great. Koppel apparently had some sort of fit this week. I would imagine the more ardent secular humanist liberals of the extremist "Separation of Church & State" variety had a tough time time with that funeral at the cathedral. Boo hoo...

These are all great, but #8 is my favorite.

The sad thing is...
That the cartoonists don't know their history as well as they should. In that same speech as the famous "...tear down this wall" line a few minutes before Reagan had said:

Mr. Gorbishev, open this gate!

I lost it when I saw Nancy then. She held up remarkably well, but looked so very tired. I hate to say it, but I look for her to follow him home before too long.
God Bless Ronnie and Nancy.

"Oh, if you'd seen Nancy at his coffin at the end of the funeral in Simi Valley, it would have ripped your heart out."

Yep.....

I didn't want to say it, but I have thought it numerous times. He was the axis around which her life spun for too many years.

good selections.

my favorite editorial cartoon on reagan's passing is by pat oliphant. i'll try to post it here, and if it doesnt work you can find it here... http://images.ucomics.com/comics/po/2004/po040607.gif

the image is by pat oliphant and it shows reagan finally on the other side of those sick room curtains.

it is a comforting image of a release from alzheimer's and a great memorial image of reagan, high on a hill with a big friendly wave.

i would guess this might be one of the reagan family's favorites.
