Iraqi Kidnappers Kill Lebanese Hostage

Saturday June 12, 2004 5:01 PM

BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) - Iraqi gunmen kidnapped three Lebanese in Iraq and killed one of them, a Lebanese Foreign Ministry official said Saturday.

Hussein Ali Alyan, a Shiite Muslim from southern Lebanon who worked in construction, was tortured and killed in ``grisly circumstances'' and his body dumped on a road near Baghdad, the official said.

Alyan was kidnapped separately from the two other abducted Lebanese, identified as Habib Samour and Roger Haddad. Haddad was released, but Samour was still held by his kidnappers, the official said.

It wasn't clear when the Lebanese were abducted or by whom. The official did not elaborate on the motive other than to say it was financial, not political, in all three cases.

The Lebanese Foreign Ministry was working to secure Samour's release, the official said.

In recent months, hundreds of Lebanese businessmen, mainly contractors and industrialists, have gone to Iraq to explore opportunities in the country's postwar reconstruction.

OK, I'll ask. Why have these Muslim criminal butchers kidnapped a Shiite Muslim and murdered him? Muslims are not safe from Muslim terrorists. Muslims need to to do some extremely serious house-cleaning before the rest of the world finally (hopefully) catches on and does it for them.

I'm sorry, but if Mr. Bush was not personally involved in this, it isn't news.

Waiting for "muslims" to do something about it, is like waiting for the UN to do something about Iraq.

We can't afford to wait that long

Because muslims not only select Christians and Jews, they also enjoy killing each other.

As far as the house-cleaning goes, we are doing it now, out of pure survival instinct at this point. I don't object at all.

If I was fit enough and young enough I would volunteer to help rid the world of this f*cking menace.

Allah can sort it all out.

I know that we are doing it. It's just the other 0.9 of the world that needs to wake up and help clean.

It's getting to the point where you really gotta wonder whether insurgents/terrorists/kidnappers have any rational purpose whatsoever (other than to shed blood and get an adrenaline rush from it). There seems to be absolutely no coherent strategy, and a self-governing Iraq becomes more of a fait accompli with each passing day, yet you still get incident after incident where some pathetic losers decide "let's set off a car bomb" or "let's kidnap someone and kill him". To accomplish WHAT?

I betcha even the kidnappers couldn't tell you.

It's as if the thought process in their head goes like this:

1. kidnap or kill some people

2. ???????

3. We're on top, sittin' pretty!

Precisely.

The foreign insurgents and local Ba'athists and the occassional al-Ansar/al-Sadr terrorist are clearly operating on their own at the tactical level right now.

The obvious conclusion from that fact is that they aren't getting timely directions from their leadership structure, for whatever reason (one presumes because we are killing their leaders and intercepting their communications, of course).

So they can pack together the occassional IED or car bomb; they can follow and shoot the occassional civilian (even civilians in government), and they can attack the occassional pipeline, but they can't put any or all of that together into any sort of effective overall strategy.

In short, the insurgents are failing as spectacularly at bringing down the new Iraqi government as they are failing at overthrowing Israel and driving all of the Jews into the sea.

In both cases, Iraq and Israel, the insurgents can manage little more than an occassional murder. They can't seize and hold ground that their opponents desire. They can't control or even have much influence on government decisions. They simply don't have a viable strategy.

Nor do they seem intellectually capable of realizing that their efforts are feeble. They seem to have convinced themselves that setting off a car bomb now and then will somehow lead to some fantastic military victory. One has to wonder if their poor educational system taught them the first thing about the history of occupiers and conquests from as recently as WW2.

Uh, pardon me...

These folks murdered prisoners, again...
Isn't that prisoner abuse, at the ultimate level?

Are we going to hear 30 days of screaming from the left on THIS prisoner abuse ---- NO?

I'm shocked.......not.

Lesson ---
STOP TAKING PRISONERS
RABID ANIMALS MUST BE DESTROYED
KILL THESE LUNATICS AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY
BLEED THEM WHITE
