You can call me courageous if you want, but I am against crime. I favor the death penalty for everything, including zoning violations. In the case of really, really bad criminals -- especially murderers and whoever is responsible for putting Jerry Springer on television -- I support a massive government project to develop a way to bring them back to life after we execute them, so we can execute them again.
TAXES
A lot of my opponents have been going around spouting harebrained "pie-in-the-sky" tax schemes that promise "something for nothing." Well I say it's time for a "reality check." I favor a practical, fiscally sound, two-pronged "flat-tax" system, as follows:
PRONG ONE -- Everybody would pay less.
PRONG TWO -- You, personally, would pay nothing.
SOCIAL SECURITY
You hear a lot of talk these days about how the government cannot afford to keep giving more and more billions of dollars in Medicare and Social Security benefits to the elderly, especially to the wealthy, golf-playing, boat-owning, Lincoln-driving, mansion-dwelling, servant-lashing elderly. Well, here's what I say: I personally am well on my way to elderlyhood, and if I'm going to suffer from joint pain, gum disease, vision loss, irregularity, bladder malfunction, prostate disorders, hemorrhoidal swelling and an inexplicable fondness for reruns of "Murder, She Wrote," then by gosh I WANT MONEY FROM THE GOVERNMENT.
DRUGS
I admit that, back in the Sixties when everybody was doing it, I may have stuck a few syringes in my arm. But I never pushed the plunger.
STANDARDIZED NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL TESTS
I believe that American schoolchildren should be given standardized national educational tests, and I will tell you exactly why: Because I am not a schoolchild. I am strongly in favor of things that I, personally, do not have to do. Childbirth is another example.
HEALTH CARE
As an older male American, I believe that our Number One health-care priority, as a nation, must be to make the medical profession find some way to get to the prostate gland other than the way they're getting to it now.
FOREIGN POLICY
I am sick and tired of watching the United States get pushed around by dirtbag nations such as Iraq. If I were president, and Saddam Hussein gave me any trouble, I would unleash the ultimate weapon on him. That's right: I would have a bomber fly right over downtown Baghdad, open the bomb doors, and drop: lawyers. If that didn't paralyze Iraq, I would drop more lawyers; and if THAT didn't work, I would put parachutes on the lawyers.
SEX IN THE OVAL OFFICE
The Oval Office is a sacred shrine of our great republic, and it is just plain wrong for the president to have sex there. He should go out on the lawn.

[Playing of Gorbasm update theme.] Ladies and gentlemen, I had the high honor and distinct privilege of attending George W. Bush 41's 80th birthday party Saturday night in Houston. It was at Minute Maid Park, the home of the Houston Astros, about 5,000 people there scattered in different layers of the stadium. I, of course, was in the Diamond Club, which is where the performing celebrities -- I was there as a civilian. I was not there working. I was just there as an invited guest, had just a fabulous time, ladies and gentlemen.
But I wish to tell you today that I, your host, El Rushbo, had my own and my first personal Gorbasm. All of the eulogists at the national funeral for Ronald Reagan, other than Margaret Thatcher, were in attendance including Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev, with whom I ended up in two pictures. One of these pictures, our arms around each other. I was told he asked for it by James Baker, former everything, secretary of state, secretary of treasury under Reagan, chief of staff under Reagan. Gorbachev had his translator, who introduced me by saying "Roosht Limbaugh." Gorbachev reacted to me the way I once saw him react when he met David Rockefeller. I did. There was a big thing at the UN, and I saw Rockefeller was in the reception line and Gorbachev got up there and when they told him who he was, his eyes widened and got real big and excited.
It was a fun and I'm waiting on a picture of this. Larry King was there. He was the master of ceremonies. I walked up and said, "Hey, Lar, what's shaking? You are kicking butt, Lar!" He put his arm around me and....well, everybody loves everybody at this. He introduced me his wife, Shawn. He told me some interesting things about her. She told me some interesting things about him. He asked me to come on his show to talk about my cochlear implant. I said, "I'll get back to you." (Laughing.) The Oak Ridge Boys were there. They were constant visitors to my TV show. They were there, hadn't seen them a while. Larry Gatlin, Vince Gill and Amy Grant. I walked up and said, "Hey, baby, baby," to her. Crystal Gayle. Probably the most interesting and longest conversation I had of the evening was Brian Mulroney, the former prime minister of Canada and one of the great eulogists of Ronald Reagan. Mary Matalin was there. I spoke with Vice President Dick Cheney, Bob Mosbacher, both presidents 43 and 41 were there. Jack Kemp and his wife Joanna, a little conversation with them.
But Larry King had his whole entourage there. The people that snapped the picture were producers of Larry King's program and I gave my e-mail address, the picture of Gorbachev. I gave my e-mail address and I said, "Send this to me," and they said, "Don't worry. We'll be glad to." In fact, one of them was a 27-year-old young woman who's working at CNN, just getting started when she said that she grew up listening to me in New Jersey. Her name was Eleanor, forget her last name. I said, "What are you doing working on the Larry King show?" She said, "It's a start." (Laughing.) Oh, she didn't say that! I don't want to get her in trouble. She was very excited to be there. So I'm still waiting on the e-mail delivery of the picture that was taken. It's digital. As soon as I get it, we'll be able to post it on the website. No, I didn't say evil empire. I didn't pull a Margaret Thatcher. I did not say evil empire. I almost thought about asking Mary Matalin for some lipstick to put a birthmark on my head, but I didn't. I played it straight. I was a model of decorum at this event.
At any rate, so that's that. As soon as I get the picture, and I made 'em read that e-mail address back to me, because I wrote it down plain and simple as I could so they could get it right, and they said it would be to me sometime today. One way or another we'll get this. There was also a still photographer there taking pictures for Gorbachev and I'll get one of those at some point, too. So regardless -- I just couldn't hold back. I was going to wait until I got the picture to tell you the story, but I couldn't hold back. I had my own personal Gorbasm Saturday night, folks!
