Thank You Mr. Jim Robinson

Posted on 06/11/2004 8:37:37 PM PDT by DollarBill

A mark in time, forever preserved, by a forum that has embraced the emotions of the events that captured our attention and demanded our thoughts. Thank you, Jim, for your dedication and hard work so that we can share, with our Freeper family, our thoughts and emotions as we move through time and history.

Wow!! It's been 5 years since I registered here, and a year or more since I started my monthly contributions. Well worth it considering how much time I spend here. I can't remember how long I 'lurked' before I registered. Time flies when you're having fun!

You have beat re signing on as a member. I'm a newbie, I didn't sign up until August 2000. I started lurking the early part of 2000. I became addicted the night of the election when the Ghorroid tried his coup in Floriduh.

In 2001 I became a monthly donor, and then I became a $/day donor.

My wife jokes that FR is my cheapest hobby that I have ever had re the cost per hour/day. At least I think that she is joking.:)

Amen brother to your comments repeated below:

Let's not forget that freepers led the counter-attack during the attempted 'rat putsch in November of 2000 in Florida. When Jesse Jackson went down to lead 'rat marches, freepers found out where they were going and got to an ampitheater first, and Jackson left the state. That's just one example among many about how FR minutemen were instrumental in saving the Republic from the attempted 'rat election theft.

What JR has done is to remind us of the neighborhood in which we once were neighbors.

I'll second that! After I found FR back in 97 from Drudge's site I found I was checking in here first whenever I got online. The only thing that made sense was to make FR my home page. FR has been my home page for years now; so whenever I go home, I come here! Thanks Mr. Robinson.....

Their efforts, combined with the diligence of men like John Sweeney and the extreme passion displayed by the Cuban community of S. Florida-which was stoked in no small part by the wonderful Spanish language talk radio stations in Miami-were able to quash the Democratic machine's attempted theft of a presidential election.

I was never so proud to be a Republican as I was on that day.

I salute Jim Robinson and all of the FReepers who made that day possible.

Thanks Jim, for helping to complete my education. To me, there's no greater gift one can be given. For that I'll never forget you.

I'll just have to say that FR is a big part of my life and I couldn't imagine it not being here.
My intelligence went up when I started lurking here and I have become a part of the Great RWC ever since.

Thanks Jim you'll probably never know how many lives you have affected.

This is the house that Jim built where we can all come and share our thoughts, our dreams and our love for this great country.

May God bless you bountifully, Jim.

This forum has been and continues to be informative and thought-provoking (controversial, too...). It is one of the fundamental trail-blazing Internet sites that have changed the way Americans and people around the world get access to news of current events, and discuss issues. More than seven years now. Way to go, Jim and Sheila Robinson! Thank you!! I can't begin to tell you what it has meant to me.

Jim, you have created a living monument to conservatisim and to the love of this country.

It is indeed a living monument...a time capsule that will live on, and grow. Thanks Jim.

A this time in our short national history, I can't imagine this country without FreeRepublic.com.

I thank our Creator for motivating the Robinson family to initiate this Citizen discussion forum, as well as attracting the best band of patriots in America to register their beliefs in support of the greatest political experiment in the history of mankind - a Constitutional Republic - these united States of America.

I have to jump on board as well. There is no other website that has the equal of the heart, mind and soul of the Free Republic, and none of this would be here without Jim.

Thanks, Jim.

(Conscientiously NOT posted to Jim directly in deference to the pile of pings he is already buried under.)
