The most surprising thing to me is that he has only been on the job for a year. It looked like he had been practicing for this assignment for a decade. I can see Nancy thinking of Ronnie in way because Jackman is a big man with big shoulders and someone she could depend on to help her through this . Look at the picture above where he has both hands around her.
I noticed when she was coming down the airplane stairs in california he gripped the rail with his other hand. I dont know if he had done that before but it almost looked liked he was afraid she was about to falter and he might need something to help steady him.
