The thing that strikes me about things that President Reagan said when he was in office was how they resonate just as true today. The one thing that sticks in my mind and how it relates to the times we live in now is:

"We as Americans...have the capacity now as we've had in the past..to do whatever needs to be done...to preserve this last and greatest bastion of freedom..."

I was in the Army in Kuwait when I heard about Pres. Reagan announcing his Alzheimers diagnosis. I remember how saddened I was hearing the news at that time. I'm glad now that he's at peace.

I was at the Library about 6 years ago - that part of CA is very nice. when I was there (the place was empty at that time, I got there when it opened in the middle of the week), I was told that they will actually be building houses down the hill from the Library - that the "no development" lease on the land when it was granted to the Library expires after a certain amount of time.

Can you imagine what those homes will sell for?

I keep hearing that the young adults are leaning towards conservative values. Not always, but it is beginning. If it is true, there is still hope.
