My father's been dead for seven years and my mother still smells his cigar, etc. Memories are a powerful thing. Meanwhile, I HATE CNN's coverage of this.

CNN has some nice coverage believe it or not... just had a snippet with Nancy and Larry King from 1995... Reagan called her father to ask for permission before proposing.

Chris Wallace probably can't believe there are "Hollywood" people who admired President Reagan for more than just his acting career.

I heard an interview with Chris Wallace on Laura Ingraham's show. I think he's had to unlearn a lot of liberal thinking after moving to Fox. I know I'm still jettisoning some liberal think even after 15 years of conservatism (thank you Rush!).

Hopefully, she will gradually change her mind

Her and many others

I don't have a problem with political differences .. but the Democrats of today scare me. I kind of like my freedom and I'm no fan of socialism

It looks like lots of Hollywood has come out of the closet. Finally proclaiming their Party.

Just switched back to Fox News as I went from one room to another, heard Brit's unmistakeable voice on the kitchen TV.

But if Chris doesn't pipe down, I'm gonna go back to C-SPAN.

"A Time For Choosing"

Didn't some guy give a speech with that title?

Show your in-laws some of the vile, green pea spitting
from the threads on duunderground, and see if they
change their minds. (Worth a try.)

Speaking of DVD's, I just read in my local paper about a DVD set that includes the majority of RWR's speeches and finer moments. It lasts 7 1/2 hours and is on 3 DVD's. It is being released next week at: https://www.mpihomevideo.com/productdetail.asp?pid=1636
I know alot of us were asking if something like this was available - I'm glad there is. My 6 & 7 year-olds will get to see Daddy's hero (in addition to the numerous books and pictures that I have) during some of his poignant & historically significant moments.

It's probably harder for Chris to unlearn the RAT brainwashing than most....considering who his dad is.

I thank my mom all the time for making me watch the watergate hearings when I was 4.

I've been hooked on politics ever since.

The first Inaguration I remember was Pres. Reagan in 1981...I was in 6th grade...our teacher wheeled a class into our room to watch it.

Heh, I remember the election between Nixon and Kennedy. I was so disappointed that Kennedy won. I was six years old. I voted for Nixon when I turned 18... my first presidential vote. :)

Yup, Wallace drove me off, too. I can't stand it when these reporters have to make themselves feel important by talking over everything. We need a button on our TV's that buzzes them to SHUT THE H**L UP!!!!
