I think this week the band of folks you speak of just learned they have lost this election.
"Awarded either a bronze or silver star...can't remember which."
Bronze I believe.
Just found out the other dy too that Tom Selleck was an Infantryman in the Michigan National Guard for 6 years.
I thought they said that they would be repeating them, right after they conclude.
has heston passed?
Just heard Fineman and Pat Buchanan saying that a Democrat should have been asked to speak and that damn Buchanan said it should have been Clinton. How damn revolting!!!
Wouldn't that be something if the Passion won? Would be fitting IMHO!
I dunno, the way I look at it, is that it President Reagan's one last chance to unite us. Lord only knows he lived through some nastiness in Hollywood, and he stood up to it. And here they all are paying tributes. Much as we fought a battle in the heartland for the Presidency 4 years ago, here this man shows us the beauty and the honor and the respect on our coasts. I'm so greatful to God for him, and to be here, in America at this time.
It's not. Managing that heavy casket will take a large crew, and some motorized equipment.
And Fred Boettcher, the Special Projects Director from SCI (owner of the Gates-Kingsley Funeral Home in LA) will be there to make sure it's done just right.
What a long day this has been. I hope Nancy is in a hot bath with a stiff drink and her jammies waiting for her and someone she loves to sleep with and hold her. My heart aches for her. But I guess, we will all face this some day. She did so well today.
I have to because they changed some of the words in our denomination's hymnal (making it more 'inclusive' of the sexes etc...). A lot of us are annoyed.
But Matthews stepped in and told of how Tip O'Neal wouldn't let a Pubbie speak at his, so fair is fair :-)
No it's not. We can honor Reagan by going out every single day dedicated to making this country a better place.
By your acts and deeds, you can honor him everyday .
Thankfully they did but two of his appointments have been less than stellar at upholding his principles. The other two have been two of the most brilliant Justices ever on the Court.
I don't want to sully anything by saying this, but I was thinking... this week has proven to everyone watching (doubtlessly!) that conservatism is "rampant" with a large segment of the American people. The DNC must be shocked.
That plus, listening to CNN gush about the lovely vista... you have to think Ronald and Nancy conspired to pull the heartstrings of the liberal media. Was it a liberal media when they planned this?
I'm thinking out loud, forgive me all; don't be offended.
you aren't alone, my friend. My eyes are so swollen I can hardly see! I was doing "okay" until Mrs. Reagan said.... "I don't want to leave him..." and she broke down.... that was it for me.
does anyone know who that lone think blond woman with the large head and she patted her heart and smiled WAS?!
If any of my comments have offended, I ask forgiveness.
I got a bit strident, earlier, with some who mentioned the President who should not be named.
