I am glad I am not that only one that missed it. I hope someone explains :-)

Patti Davis is a gem.
The burial ceremony for the pet fish and the theology lesson were very nice.
And darned if Ron Reagan didn't do a good job.
Maybe watching the last years of his father made him mellow and mature a bit.

Just for the record, I didn't off my fighting fish. He lived a long life for a fish and just kind of winded down this morning.
To: arasina
"Or has he had a change of heart?"
I think he just answered your question.
Conservatism and Ron Jr. are not in the same room!

"He didn't, like some others, wear his religion on his sleeve."
"After the assassination, he believed he had a Divine purpose not a mandate. There is a big difference."

To: Darlin'
There was nothing wrong with what he said. It was a heartfelt tribute.

here comes Patti - if there is anyone who could be a troublemaker, its her.It turned out to be Ron, Jr., who got his inappropriate snide and very political anti-GWB statment worked into his tribute to his dad.

didn't take it as a slap to W. Give the guy a break. It is what it is, what it is... Me neither. But, some folks are looking at anything to jump ugly on.

I was thinking it was a swipe at BillyJeff, walking out of the church with that big old Bible in hand. My reaction, too.
